Lucky for you guys, it’s your chance to get it! Great neo retro 29 MTB build project! A very nice frame! A little bit of TLC and this will be a great frame! 29 12×142 thru-axle hub rear wheels. Takes 1 1/8 – 1.5 tapered steerer fork. Original sealed bearing headset included. If you are after a neo-retro bike build, this is the one! Make your friends green with envy with this very good condition legendary frame from the tried, tested, and always reliable Specialized. This is a circa 2012 frame. Takes 29 12×142 axle rear hub. Included bottom bracket needs to be replaced (including it in case you need the parts). Includes sealed bearing headset. The frame have been stripped of paint as owner was planning to polish to mirror-finish. Good thing about it is that we can easily see that there are no cracks or dents. There are marks here and there consistent with a lightly to moderately used frame. Owned by an elderly gentleman, this hasn’t seen much dirt. Used mostly on bike paths. No dents, no cracks. Shock works and holds air but not aware when it was last serviced. You would need to get new 12×142 rear thru-axle and rear derailleur hanger and seatpost clamp (all cheap parts). These classic 29er frames from Specialized cost a lot more! Either have it repainted or polish to mirror-like shine. Photos will describe condition of frame. Size: Medium I believe (18.5 inches from centre of bottom bracket to top of seat tube, 22.5 inches centre of headtube to centre of seat tube, 120mm headtube length). Niner SIR 9 frame 2015. Condition is very good indeed. Includes Niner Biocentric 2 eccentric BB adapter, Niner seat-post, Niner clamp, rear axle (12×142 Maxle), Niner headset. It’s hard to get the seat-tube bottle out so the underside of the top tube got repeatedly donked. In the end a little bit of bare metal was exposed. This has now been discreetly primed in grey. It is listed as the “Air9 Carbon 1.1″ in the Niner product list. This bike would make a great first race bike for someone on a budget. It is crazy light (2.5 libs), has race-oriented geometry, and is extremely stiff. It is a size medium, which should fit most people between 5′ 8″ and 6′ 0″. The bike uses a tapered headset (integrated 40/52), 73mm CYA bb, 160mm rotor and up to 2.4 wide 29 tires. The seatpost diameter is 31.6, and it uses a 135mm rear hub. The downside of the bike is that it is used. There is cable rub on the lower side of the headtube, scratches on the inside of the seatstays and chainstays, and some chain rub on the top of the right chainstay. There are also various little scratches around the frame, but all the damage is superficial. A great deal for the right person. It’s hard to find carbon 29er this light at even triple the price. The frame has been Invisiframed from new and it has done it’s job, there are a few marks on the invisiframe. Pictures show old frame, new bearings installed in pivots during repair.
