Trek 8000ZR mountain bike frame. Size Medium (17.5). Made from Treks top alloy of the time ZR9000. Usual marks from use but no cracks or dents. Standard 1&1/8 head tube. Standard BSA bottom bracket threads. Standard 135mm wide quick release compatible drop outs.
This Trek EX Fuel 9 Mountain Bike is a reliable and sturdy ride. The bike has a full suspension system that ensures a smooth and comfortable ride, even on the toughest terrains. The bike’s frame is made of high-quality aluminium, which makes it durable and long-lasting. The bike comes with a downhill bar handle and a thumb shifter, which makes it easy to control your speed and direction. (The seat, handlebars, rims, bike stem, grips are all Bontrager). The bike has 27 speeds and a derailleur gear change mechanism, which makes it perfect for climbing and descending. The bike’s braking system is disc brake – hydraulic, which ensures reliable and quick stopping. The bike is tubular tyres and comes in a beautiful white colour. It has very recently had a service, where a new cassette, chain and gear cables were replaced. New pedals and tyres were added a few months ago where the previous owner had not greased the crank shaft and it had to be replaced with one very similar. This does not affect the performance at all and is quite difficult to tell the difference. The chain set is Shimano XT Deore. There are a few scuffs and minor chips. Trek Retro stp400 in team trek vw colour. I believe from 2001. Overall condition is very good. Top tube has scuffing from cable rattle. Head tube has a couple of grooves from cable rattle. Drive side frame stay(seat stay) has a groove from cable rub. Top of seat tube has some cable rub also. The stickers are a little scratched and rubbed in places. But there’s bonus period stickers on it too m, rock shox – x-lite and a really old hope sticker. Bb threads are great, have just been chased just to clean them out. A reasonable richey logic headset is included. Original bontrager seat post and a third party seat post clamp. Hanger is straight and true. Has a cane creek ad5 rear shock on it which I believe is an upgrade to the regular sid rear shock that was oem. Please use the pictures alongside the description as not every little thing can be documented. It’s a good solid frame that will build up nicely. Top tube 560mm (22). Down tube, 650mm (24, 1/2). Seat tube 500mm (20).
Lovely retro Scott mountain bike frame. Original hot pink paint job. With original yellow decals. Good condition for the age. Headset runs smooth but with a bit of a notchy feel. Bottom bracket threads clean and in good condition. Braze-ons for front low riders or a front rack. Brazed on spoke holders on right chain stay. Would suit somebody about five foot eleven or six foot. Good quality frame material made in Taiwan. The rear brake braze ons are for a u brake. The front brake studs are for a cantilever or v brake.
