Trek Retro stp400 in team trek vw colour. I believe from 2001. Overall condition is very good. Top tube has scuffing from cable rattle. Head tube has a couple of grooves from cable rattle. Drive side frame stay(seat stay) has a groove from cable rub. Top of seat tube has some cable rub also. The stickers are a little scratched and rubbed in places. But there’s bonus period stickers on it too m, rock shox – x-lite and a really old hope sticker. Bb threads are great, have just been chased just to clean them out. I’ve shown all the bad bits in the photos so at a glance it doesn’t look great but it’s actually a very nice frame. With a little touch-up paint, once built it will look great. Comes with the original stem, handlebar, seat post/clamp, hanger & headset. Structurally sound, no damage or hidden dangers.

90s sunn tox mtb. Ideal retro commuter or xc bike. Steel frame with original decals. Treated with ACF50 to prevent rust. 1 x 8 shimano deore drive. Avid v brake set. Wheels and hubs are 26 GT from memory. Brand new Nobby Nics tyres with slime tubes. Was serviced last year by a local bike shop and rides well. Has been in the shed and isn’t getting the use it deserves hence the sale. Collection in the frodsham area.
Used but in great condition. It will fit teenagers or short adults (I’m 5ft 2). I also have Road tyres for this bike so I will throw those in as well. The original saddle will also be included. Retro Schwinn Mountain Bike frame – unidentified. I have researched as much as I can on the t’interweb and through old catalogues to find out what I can but as it is an early mid 90s frame info is limited. From the frame details and spec I believe this to be circa 1995. The Assymetrical chainstays with the dropped right side date from this period and the lack of disc tabs seems to point to it being no later. This may be a homegrown but the colour is unusual for this. However the colour is also unusual for other models from this era. The closest colour scheme I can find is on a photo on a page from the 1995 catalogue showing who I expect to be Tim Gould riding no doubt a race frame from the 1994 season. This is backed up by an ebayer who discovered lots of pictures of Tim riding a bike with this colour scheme on Fat Tyre. Copy and paste this link to have a look! The frame came with high spec components and a’Homegrown’ tomato embroidered saddle so this also points to this maybe being a Homegrown? Another interesting detail I haven’t seen on other Schwinns is the oversizing near the BB junction on the downtube Maybe an experimental thing? Some of the early Homegrowns were made by Control Tech and there does seem to be variations on the early models. I have received a message from another ebayer who bought one of these back in the day who says this is a Homegrown and believes it was one of the Yeti built ones. It has some marks and scuffs and scratches. It appears to have a non original replacement hanger as fit isn’t quite flush. Paint is flaking too. Seat Tube = 19 (480 mm) Centre to Top.
