The defining characteristic of the Polygon Xquarone EX8 is its radical rear suspension. Its the brainchild of a company called Naild, and has different ride characteristics to any other system out there. Despite its 180mm of travel, the Xquarone pedals superbly, gripping the terrain in all conditions and making it a very versatile, true all-mountain bike. The XQUARONE EX 8 is a departure from the old way of classifying bikes and creates a new paradigm where travel no longer determines discipline. Equipped with the new NAILD suspension design works in conjunction with Polygons frame construction to give a ride unlike anything else. This bike is designed to have a short rear end for tackling technical terrain and to provide quick cornering. The last year of the good Schwinn’s from the homegrown era before the buyout. 3.5″ rear travel, 26″ wheels (disc or canti brakes). Front & rear lockouts, shock is Fox coilover that’s remarkably plush compared to the air version. Lots of wear marks & nicks in paint as shown but fully functional & mechanically 100%. Fork had a full rebuild about 30 riding hrs ago. Includes ICBM headset, those are getting harder to find. Note – ICBM’s are rebuildable with new bearings as they wear so they can last as long as you want. Since they’re internal they tend to last a long time if not forever. Ships via ground service, usually takes me a day or two to get frames packaged & out the door. The frame has been Invisiframed from new and it has done it’s job, there are a few marks on the invisiframe. Pictures show old frame, new bearings installed in pivots during repair. This is my Immaculate Ellsworth Moment that Ive had since new. Ive used it for a max of 2 summer seasons, truly never used it in bad weather, hence why it is almost pristine. See pics for a tiny white scratch on down tube & some very light freckles on chainstay. No dings, cracks or chips. The frame is hard anodised not painted so is very hard wearing. They are handcrafted, using billet aluminium, a little bit of carbon & TIG welded by hand. They are pure art. Never seen another one on the trails so very rare/bijoux. Will come with Hope headset, Ellsworth seat clamp & a Sixpack seat post. Im open to offers but to be honest if it doesnt sell I wont be disappointed. 1 1/8th steerer, 73mm bottom bracket, 135mm QR dropouts, 160mm max fork length. HPA Ultralight, Advanced Hydroform, Triple Butted, ETC 4-Link, ISCG mount, AXH. Fits 27.5 Wheels. Fox Float X remote, 216x64mm, Climb/Trail/Descend mode, remote handlebar lever, Kashima coated. CUBE 1.5E ZS, top zero-stack 1 1/8″ (OD 44mm), bottom zero-stack 1 1/2″ (OD 56mm). Condition: Used frame in good overall condition. There are various scratches and areas of cable rub, but no cracks or dents. The bearings are in good condition. Rear Shock is in excellent condition with no scratches to the stanchion. One of the ISCG mounting bolts is seized in the frame and the bottom bracket will need replacing. The headset does not include the crown race, but the bearings are good. The bar mounted CTD lever for the shock works well. Overall, the frame is in good working condition, with a few cosmetic marks.
