I upgraded the original shock in 2017 to a Fox DPS Evol and got the shop that supplied it to remove the internal travel limiter so that it now has 158mm of travel, I have also added one token to increase the mid travel support. It rides super plush!! I’ve also added one offset bushing to the top shock mount to increase the head angle by half a degree. This frame is rated for up to 160mm travel forks, I ran Rockshox Pike 160′s and it suited the back end well creating a 65.5 degree head tube angle. I’ve included a front derailleur blanking plate to neaten it if you want to run 1x gearing. I replaced two pivot bearings in the summer and there is no play in any of the bearings now.
