Versatile 44mm headtube accepts standard tapered 1.5 to 1-1/8 fork steerer tubes using an external lower cup or can run a straight 1-1/8 steerer using internal zero stack headset. 68mm bottom bracket, English threading. The classic 68mm threaded BB and 135mm rear axle means you can run a nice low Q-factor crankset such as the SRAM XX Q156 or an old Ritchey Logic with a traditional square taper BB. This is imperative for riders with tender knees – I tried the new fangled boost spacing with wider BB and wider rear axle/chainstays – which in turn means a much wider crank is needed to clear the frame – this led to knee pain and I could only ride for 30 mins. So I stuck with the narrower traditional frames and could continue to ride all-day epics over my beloved South Downs. Only for sale due to having way too many bikes and needing to free up some space. I have 6 other bikes including a Lynskey Helix Pro 29, a Lynskey Sportive road bike and a Lynskey built On-One 456 26er… Needless to say Im a big fan of the brand, they make superbly built and fantastic riding frames. I can say from experience that it rides almost identically to the Helix Pro 29, but is noticeably smoother over rough ground although perhaps not quite as stiff under heavy acceleration/steep climbing. It has been lightly used for XC riding. There are no dents or cracks in the frame but it does have some marks & wear on it from general use and where the cables have rubbed.
