This is an Cannondale CAAD2 retro MTB hard tail bike, with retro Headshok P-Bone forks. Tidy condition, good paintwork only a few scratches as shown. 20″ inch frame with 26 inch wheels so suitable riders 5′ 11″ and upwards. 27 speed Shimano gears with quick fire shifters. Making it easier to change gears. All good and working. Wheels straight with street style tyres, in good condition. Comes with Shimano Deore XT crank set & brakes plus Shimano XTR rear mech. All goods can be collected from and viewed at our Wellington Somerset store junction 26 on the M5. Post code TA21 8LU. Please make sure the cycle is assembled properly by a competent person before riding, as gears and brakes can need adjusting after reassembly and before use on the road. Pedals, front wheel and handlebars may need refitting. Tools are not supplied for this task. Used Cannondale Flash 29. Frame is solid, no cracks or excessive wear. Normal marks for age. Includes seat post clamp and hanger. NOTE: BB30 is slightly out of round. This wasn’t noticeable to the naked eye, but was found using calipers to check after some dust/dirt build up was found. It looks like the LBS pushed the retaining lip rather than the bearings when trying to remove the bearings. What does this mean? Will you notice it when riding? It means the bearings are susceptible to dirt or moisture contamination. You won’t notice any issue in performance unless too much dirt or moisture builds up. How do you fix it? The most effective way is to install a BB conversion from Wheels Manufacturing or from Rotor. Or you can simply service the bearing a bit more often than normal. This is a great starter frame for someone looking to transition from alum to carbon. You select the carrier.
