This Trek EX Fuel 9 Mountain Bike is a reliable and sturdy ride. The bike has a full suspension system that ensures a smooth and comfortable ride, even on the toughest terrains. The bike’s frame is made of high-quality aluminium, which makes it durable and long-lasting. It has very recently had a service, where a new cassette, chain and gear cables were replaced. New pedals and tyres were added a few months ago where the previous owner had not greased the crank shaft and it had to be replaced with one very similar. This does not affect the performance at all and is quite difficult to tell the difference. The chain set is Shimano XT Deore. There are a few scuffs and minor chips. Trek Retro stp400 in team trek vw colour. I believe from 2001. Overall condition is very good. Top tube has scuffing from cable rattle. Head tube has a couple of grooves from cable rattle. Drive side frame stay(seat stay) has a groove from cable rub. Top of seat tube has some cable rub also. The stickers are a little scratched and rubbed in places. But there’s bonus period stickers on it too m, rock shox – x-lite and a really old hope sticker. Bb threads are great, have just been chased just to clean them out. A reasonable richey logic headset is included. Original bontrager seat post and a third party seat post clamp. Hanger is straight and true. Has a cane creek ad5 rear shock on it which I believe is an upgrade to the regular sid rear shock that was oem. Please use the pictures alongside the description as not every little thing can be documented. It’s a good solid frame that will build up nicely. Top tube 560mm (22). Down tube, 650mm (24, 1/2). Seat tube 500mm (20).
Giant Reign 1 2018 model frameset for 27.5 wheels in Neon Red/Black. Heli-taped in all the relevant places from new. Has a few paint chips and scratches as expected from use but nothing heavy. Owned from new and it’s in very good condition. Was stripped and got a full service in 2022 – a new bike happened so hasn’t been used since. Kept a hold of it as a trusted back up bike but never needed to use it. Rockshox Lyrik RC Solo Air 160mm travel fork with Boost thru-axle – serviced by Sprung Suspension Workshop in 2022 and not used since. Rockshox Super Deluxe Air RT – serviced by Sprung Suspension Workshop in 2022 and not used since. Giant dropper post & seat – dropper working but a little worn & could do with a service. Original Stem & Bars. SRAM GXP Press fit bottom bracket – bearings good and usable. Frame suspension bearings were also replaced in 2022. Has had a few minor upgrades such as Spank spoon grips & rockbros pedals. 10 speed rear gearing with easy to change trigger shifters. Cotic Simple Medium Sized Single Speed MTB Frame Reynolds 853 For 26 Wheels 2008. Here we have a brilliant and beautiful Singlespeed frame from British manufacturers, Cotic. I have owned and ridden this for over a decade and I love it. It handles beautifully on single track and the top of the range Reynolds 853 tubed frame provides a ride full of that zingy steel magic. This particular example is in excellent used condition having had one owner from new before me. He rode it regularly but treated it well and had it repainted by Bob Jackson cycles with new decals just before I bought it. As such the paint is deep and glossy with a few light scuffs and scratches here and there. None of it is serious and could be easily touched in if required. Cotic frames are rust-proofed from the inside so no integrity issues to worry about. The top, down and drive side chainstay have been copter-taped. This has lifted in places as per the photos. It’s a size medium with the following actual dimensions. Seat tube centre to centre: 37cm. Seat tube centre to top: 44cm. Top tube affective horizontal (with 445mm a-c forks): 58cm. Head tube end to end: 11cm. Seat post diameter: 27.2mm. Headset size: 1 1/8 straight. BB: BSA threaded. Rear axle spacing is 135mm and it has an IS disc brake mount. I rode it with a 445mm a-c rigid carbon Pace RC31 fork but I’ve also tried it with a 100mm travel Rockshox SID and it rode brilliantly. The reason for the sale is that I my knees have started to protest at riding Singlespeed so I’ve bought a geared Cotic Soul from the same era. Note that although it is designed for 26 wheels, 650b with tyres up to around 50mm wide fit and ride well. It’s a different ride, not better, and depends on your priorities but it’s good to have the option. Get a modern classic for a reasonable price. You can easily build this up in to a sub-10kg bike even with pedals, cages and the like. Will be well packed and posted via Parcel Force.
