Trained mechanics and volunteers work to restore bikes and components ready to be resold or passed on to some of our other projects. All the profit is put back into the project to cover running costs and to finance the sending of selected bikes to Re-Cycle. Based in Colchester, Re-Cycle send used bikes to Africa to support schools and community health programmes. Recyke YBike believes that providing affordable, roadworthy transport to the local community is a good way to promote cycling, as well as keeping bikes out of land-fill sites.
