Whyte 905 Trail Hardtail 2015 Medium Frame

The frame size is a Medium. I’ve owned this bike since new. I used to ride it regulary, but it has sat in the garage for the last 12 months. When I was riding it I made a few changes to the spec and spent what ever was required maintaining it mechanically. The bike works and runs well, but the front brake doesn’t work, the lever internals have failed and it needs replacing with a new brake lever. There are no brake pads in the front caliper either so the front brake doesn’t bind, as I did use the bike a few times on tow path rides with just the back brake last year. Apart from that everything is currently working and the only other things to mention are wear and tear on a bike that was ridden a lot in places like Sherwood pines, Cannock and Dalby. There are plenty of marks and scratches, and the grommets at cable entry points have seen better days and the bar ends are scrapped. It’s not a show piece but still looks good and its a great trail bike which has been used as such. I’ve tried to get pictures from all angles so they can be zoomed in on and the marks be seen as clear as possible. The forks were serviced over two years ago. Things that I’ve added or changed from the standard spec are the tyres which are Maxxis High Roller II on the front and Maxxis Minion SS on the rear. The tyres are Tubeless ready but the rims would need taping. I upgraded the Rear Mech from SLX to XT and removed the front derailer, and fitted a 1x chain ring so the bike is now 1×10. I fitted an internally routed Brand X 120mm dropper with a RaceFace 1x Remote. It has DMR V12 pedals and a Selle Italia SLR saddle which is light but very hard and not for everyone, but I have the original Whyte saddle which will come with the bike. I’ve also included a few bits with the bike. Including a basic turbo trainer and tyre to go with it and some spares. 2018 XL frame hardly used. Usual marks and cable rub as you would expect from a mountain bike, overall in good condition. Listing is for frame, headset, seatclamp and rear axle only. Forks and dropper post are listed separately. The new Clockwork 129 pushes the 29er hardtail into the realms of the hardcore arena. Running a 120mm travel fork this one’s for the fast and loose big wheel fans out there. Bigger brother to the 109, the Clockwork 129 has a 10mm longer top tube and its head angle is slackened by a degree. Geometry tuned for a more aggressive and capable longer travel fork. With the same tidy frame features as the 137; neat external routing that tucks the cables neatly under the top tube, internal stealth cable routing for the Kore 150mm dropper post are nice touches. And the 12x148mm bolt-thru rear axle further helps the strength and rigidity of the 29er wheelset. Trail centre hardtail, or out and out explorer, it’s up to you. But however you choose to ride the Clockwork 129 it will be a more than worthy trail buddy. For sale today is my trusted Specialized Pitch Pro 2008 full suspension Enduro/Trail Mountain Bike Frame. It comes with the RockShox Monarch Plus Debonair RC3 air shock which has a compression damping switch (firm, medium and fully opened settings). Shock was serviced mid way through this season. Frame is in raw untreated aluminum. Can be buffed up to near mirror finish and coated but I like the way it came out. Finish isnt perfect but helps to fade in the cable rubs and light scratches all over. I know it doesnt matter but it does bike got more comments for the looks then I got for my riding skill! Builds into a really good all round bike, depending on what you want to ride, you choose forks that will suit your style. I had Fox 36 coil 160mm Forks on it, but perhaps a variable travel setting fork such as U turn RockShox would suit it better. Original forks on Pitch were Pike 140mm. Standard quick release rear wheel. Takes 1 1/8 fork steerer and 26 wheels. Bike climbs well, more like a 100mm trail bike with help of compression damping, descends with confidence and can really keep up with modern bikes. Ive been to Bike Park Wales, Forest of Dean DH and XX trails, Cwm Carn etc and bike can handle a lot of it without a problem. There are couple things which will need attention soon however. All main pivot bearings have been replaced mid way this season but I havent been able to get at the Horst bearings (back ones) as I didnt have the right puller. Theyre operational but not smooth. You cant really notice it unless you strip the shock down and have play around. There is small amount of play in the shock bushing- replacing it shouldnt be too much of a problem if you have the know how. Quick job for a local bike mechanic otherwise. To compensate for above the frame will come with couple of extra bits. Cane Creak Forty headset. Charge spoon saddle (in pretty poor condition). Superstar components seat post clamp. Can add Shimano Hollowtech II bottom bracket also, but it really is on its last legs so just shout if you want it included. Carbon fibre down tube cover was put on by previous owner and did a great job at keeping the bike neat. Frame is well used so will have many marks especially around chain stay. No dents or kinks so the integrity of the frame is spot o n. Size is medium, Im 510 and would not want it to be any smaller, especially if you like to run shorter (50mm and below) stem. I have described the bike to the best of my knowledge, I loved the frame and are somewhat sad to see it go as its so unique. GT Zaskar Expert Carbon FRAME 20 Large. Material: Light weight full monocoque carbon Frame. Colour : Red / Exposed carbon effect. Fits to 26 QR 135mm Wheels. BB Threads All good with no cross threading. Paint work is nice & clear with no heavy rub wear. Being a carbon frame this has developed some damaged cover its time. This being the top tube has a patch where carbon has shattered – caused from over tightening clamp / strap. A small hairline crack on the drop out suspect this to be only paint cracking caused bonding reaction on the aluminium to carbon. To be repaired before being build for optimal usage.
