Yeti 575 Enduro Bike Marzocchi Bomber Hope XT (Buy Bike, Frame or Frame & Forks)

The whole bike as shown in the photos above and the description below. Sadly, due to a house move from a very large house to an absolutely tiny one, my beloved Yeti has to go.. This beautiful Yeti mountain bike. Has already been significantly reduced in price, as it really needs to go, as the house we are moving into has nowhere to keep bikes. Yeti 575 all mountain bike/Enduro bike that is in. Mainly due to the fact I’ve only ridden it a handful of times, since I built it in the summer! (probably a lot less than 50 miles) This would be great to use in any type of bike riding you prefer. It’s fantastic down hill, as well as up. It tracks great around single track and soaks up the bumps without soaking up the power, due to the excellent Fox Pro-Pedal lever on the rear Fox RP23 shock. This can be switched over’on the fly’ to give you much better response on fast, rocky down hill descents, then easily switched back again with one finger as you turn uphill again. The no nonsense Marzocchi Drop-Off front forks are happy to be left as they are. Once the forks are set up before a ride, you’ll need do nothing else; probably for years! It’s a’medium’ frame, so that means it has a seat tube of 18 1/2 (18.5 inches). Again, so that the seat height can be adjusted’on the fly’ I’ve added a dropper seat post that has a control lever on the handlebars that can be operated by your thumb. This gives you three option: top, middle and bottom. I use the top for road work or long climbs, middle for most off-road use and bottom for tricky down hill sections. This was a’no rush’ build, as I already had an ex-works 2002 Yeti AS-R that was my main ride. I bought the 575 frame on a whim, as the AS-R was a tad too small for me over long rides, although spot on for most of my style of riding i. Therefore, I searched far and wide to ensure I found EXACTLY what I wanted to be fitted on this bike, rather than just going for what’s available. I gave myself a target of two years to find the bits and build the bike. It took a lot less than that, as I already had a’secret stash’ of quality period components stored in the bottom drawer of my tool cabinet. So once I looked at what I’d squirreled away over the years, I only had to source about 50% of the bits!! The idea behind the bike, was that it had to be a low maintenance bike, as I wanted to ride it, not work on it. Therefore new sealed for life bearings were a must throughout the bike, so all of them are new. Also I chose forks that needed little to no maintenance. The only concession I had to this, was in regards to the rear shock. I didn’t want a coil spring on the rear, as I wouldn’t have been able to easily’tweak’ it for different terrain or use; especially on the move. I also wanted to lock it out, which again is hard to do with a coil spring.. Here’s the spec. This is the bike’s new parts. Chainrings – steel x3. Chainring bolts – red anodised. Rear SRAM 9-speed cassette. Yeti chain stay protector. Headset – red anodised. Shimano Hollow-tech Bottom bracket. Hope QR conversions – rear. Brake caliper seals (genuine Hope). Brake pipes & fittings. DOT 5.1 Brake fluid. TMARS dropper seatpost with red anodised remote handlebar lever. Shimano Deore gear shifters. Red anodised rear mech jockey wheels with sealed bearings. New powder coat in the proper Yeti turquoise on frame and fork bottoms. Bomber decals comes with a spare set, as I scratched one letter… Various bolts and nuts. This is the bike’s lovely retro parts. Yeti 575 (M) aluminium frame with carbon/aluminium rear triangle. Marzocchi Z1 Bomber Drop-Off suspension forks with 20mm thru axle & black QR. Fox Float RP23 rear air shock with pro pedal. Selle Italia carbon saddle with embroidered detailing on the turquoise leather cover – VERY comfortable! Race Face Low Riser Handlebars. Race Face Handlebar stem. Hope bar end caps – black anodised. Mavic disc wheel rims – grey. Hope Bulb wheel hubs F&R – red anodised. Hope rear wheel QR – black. Hope DH4 4 pot calipers that’s 4 pistons and 4 brake pads per caliper! Hope’open’ sports brake levers. Hope 185 mm front brake disc. Hope 160 mm rear brake disc. Specialized Enduro tyres F&R. Shimano DX platform SPD pedals. The retro parts have all been fully serviced and where appropriate, bearings replaced and oil or grease changed. For instance, both wheels, the frame and Dogbone. Have had new’sealed for life’ bearings fitted. It also comes with a spare set of Dogbone bearings, as the new Dogbone from Yeti came with a new set already fitted.. Less than it cost to build on. O that I don’t get tempted to change my mind and keep it.. Any questions, just ask!
