Very rare, collector’s frame in excellent condition. Has normal nicks and scratches on the drive side chainstay, but pretty much the rest of the frame is in excellent shape and only has very minor regular wear and tear signs. This frame was hand-built in Sebastopol, CA, USA. Serial number on bottom bracket: 6031. This bike was not used very much, so despite the fact that it is a 1997 model, the bike was not ridden much and in the last few years, it was my wife bike just to ride around. The frame is made for V-brakes and does not have the “hand job” cable guide. The titanium tubeset is asymmetrically butted set to save weight. The chainstay are ovalized and tapered and are connected to custom CNC machined dropouts made out of the stronger 6/4 titanium to add stiffness and drop weight. Ibis is known for its superb quality and clean welds and this frame does not disappoint there. Frame size is M, seat tube measures 17.5 from center of bottom bracket to top of toptube. Toptube measures 21.25 from center of headtube to center of downtube. This geometry makes this bike a great climber! Frame weight is 3lbs. You can build this bike as a single speed at under 15lbs, or bring it up to specs with a 1×12 system. A complete geared bike should be around 20 lbs or less depending on parts.
