Brake mount: V brake or IS Disc mount. One dent caused during storage on the top tube but it is very minor. Full strip down and powder coating service available, 1-2 week turn around depending or colour choice and weather the colour needs to be ordered in specially.

Retro 26 Giant Anthem X 4.0 Maestro M MTB Frame White Fox Float RP23 Kashima

Retro 26″ Giant Anthem X 4.0 Maestro M Medium 17″ MTB Frame White Fox Float RP23 Kashima. Frame is in good condition with generally shiny paintwork as can be seen, but a few rub marks and scratches as would be expected. Have tried to take photo’s of the worst bits. Frame comes with an FSA headset which feels smooth and a press fit Shimano Deore XT SM-BB71-41 Bottom bracket that also feels smooth and ready to use. Frame measures 17″ from centre of BB to top of seat tube and 22″ from centre of seat tube to centre of head tube. Note there’s some surface cracking on the paint around the bottom bracket drive side and sme has chipped away as per pics. Frame takes tapered forks, is standard 135mm QR, and takes a 30.9mm seat post.

There is a large chip on the edge of the bottom bracket tube carbon fibre. It is nothing to worry about (See photos). The bottle cage bolt holes have surface rust on them (See photos). A great gift or maybe a treat for yourself?

VCR Cycles is delighted to bring to the market this 1999 Santa Cruz Heckler X 18.5 MTB frameset. Top quality USA made retro frame. Fox Vanilla x rear suspension. Frame is scruffy but solid with no dents or cracks etc. The linkages are all good with no play. Only negative is the drive side bottom bracket thread is quite weak. It’ll still take a bottom and you can still tighten it right up to the correct torque but as you can see in the last two photos, the first 5mm is weak so needs to be declared. As a complete bike this was built with a Shimano Hollowtech type BB with the deeper cups and was used for years with no issues. There’s also good quality threadless BB’s on the market now as another alternative. Centre of BB to top of seat tube is 18.5. Centre of seat tube to centre of headtube is 22. Rear spacing is : 135mm. Front spacing is : N/A.

Retro Cannondale MTB Frame Aluminium Made in USA 20” for 26 inch wheels. Canti brake as no disc mounts. Sound frame, a little surface corrosion but nothing serious. Looks to be running a 1-1/4” head tube so a reducer kit will be needed to fit standard ahead 1-1/8” forks. Smooth square taper bottom bracket. Not sure which model but has the cups from a Shimano XT headset still fitted.
