The 1993 Kona Lava Dome – one of the best looking, most exciting mountain bikes of not just thirty years ago but still. Frame has some scratches but nothing to take away from the overall beauty of this bike. The fabulous Project Two forks mean that this is a real tough bike in a lightweight package. Avid Arch Rival 40 V brakes. Converted to Shomano Deore 1x crank with Alicia derailleur (9 speed). This would be such a head turner as a commute / town bike as well. Suit a rider upto about 5′ 6”.

Significant chainsuck scrapes and wear on right rear chainstay (see last photo and note). These are fairly deep. Paint scuffs, scratches, and wear throughout frame; heavy wear on dropouts and chainstay area. Frame size: 18 inches (center to top, see measurement photos). Top tube length: approximately 22.5 inches (measured, see photos). Wheel size: 26 inches. Material: Easton T7 Aluminum alloy, solution heat-treated high performance frame tubing. Color: Light blue with yellow Trek and 8500 model graphics. Set includes: Frame and attached hardware only as shown. Frame weight (actual): 7 lbs 13 oz (stripped of most components, weighed, see photo). Compatible with cantilever or V-brakes (brake posts present). Department: Men / Adult. Made from durable and lightweight aluminum, classic 1990s MTB frame for restoration or project bike.
