Regrettably I fell ill in the summer and my tour along The Divide had to be aborted. Life and other commitments then got in the way, and ever since the bike I’d built remained untouched and unused. It’s now time to sell the frame-set to someone who will love and enjoy it and be able to throw it into adventures far and wide. The frame-set has had moderately light use and only covered approximately 230 miles of paved roads, dirt and gravel foot paths and bridleways here in mid-Essex. The mat-black paintwork on the frame is largely unspoiled and all the metallic orange artwork is virgin fresh (upon close inspection there are some scuffs and marks visible – for full disclosure I’ve listed all of these as best I can at the bottom of this description). This is the medium size frame, 18 / 457.2mm , measured from the centre of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube. The Frame The Salsa Fargo frame is an incredibly versatile off-road, touring and bike-packing frame. This version of the Salsa Fargo is designed for 29″ wheels with 2.1″ – 2.3 tyres. Rear axle spacing is set up for 135mm x 10mm quick release and you have the ability to alter than chain stay length by adjusting the positions of the Alternator Dropout plates. Three water bottle mounting points. The seat tube takes a 27.2mm seat post (not included) and a black 30mm Salsa seat post collar (included). The bottom bracket is 73mm BSA thread. Rear disc brake can accommodate rotor sizes from 160mm to 200mm and has a 51mm I. Front derailleur mount is the direct-mount / band-on variety, Salsa Problem Solvers bracket included. This ridged fork has a 15mm thru-axle and triple bosses on each arm for mounting extra water bottle cages or Salsa Anything Cages. Front disc brake can accommodate rotor sizes from 160mm to 200mm and has a 72mm post mount. DT Swiss Thru-Axle included. Headset steerer tube expander bung included. The steerer tube remains uncut. Scuff on top of seat tube caused by gear cable contact. Scratch on seat tube caused by front derailleur band-on bracket. Scuff at top of left seat stay caused by brake cable contact. Fine / light scratching to paintwork on chain stays. Small paint chips on the end of fork arms, close to thru-axle.
