A lovely retro Cannondale R500 road bike (2.8 aluminium) frameset (Hand built in the USA) in very nice polished aluminium/black. I believe this to be a November 1995 model based on the frame number identification (See photos). There are some chips/scratches/rub marks/sticker damage/oxidisation on the frameset. There are no cracks in the frame (See photos). There are 2 indentation dents where the front mech has been attached to the seat post tube (See photos). It is nothing to worry about. The frame design has a shaped indentation on the drive side chainstay, near the bottom bracket for more clearance for the crankset and the same for the bottom of the drive side seat stay for more clearance around the cassette (See photos). Both of these are part of the frame design and are not damage to the frame and nothing to worry about (See photos). There is some surface rust on the bottle cage bolt holes (See photos). All this is purely cosmetic and nothing to worry about. Comes complete with a bottom bracket which moves very smoothly & freely, aluminium allen key quick release seat post clamp, Cannondale black aluminium removable rear dropout, plastic bottom bracket cable guide and brand new stainless steel bottle cage bolts (See photos). The frameset would be truly stunning when polished up. The frameset has been thoroughly washed and GT85′d. The frame will be carefully wrapped before being posted. The frame still has it original St. John Street Cycles dealer label (The dealer is better known now as SJS Cycles) (See photos). A fabulous retro Cannondale R500 frameset.
