It is in very nice condition and fully functional with no dents or cracks. The Fox Float R shock is in full working order with no leaks and the seals are fine. The shock holds air and the adjusters are working perfectly. The frame has a few chips to the paint which have been touched up with a high quality paint pen but it is still in very good condition. The bottom bracket threads are mint as is the rear mech hanger thread. It comes with a partial headset (cups and sealed bearings). All the pivots are tight with no play and the action is smooth with no creaks or notches. All bolts and threads throughout are fine. 17 inches from centre of bottom bracket to top of seat tube. 21 inches from centre of seat tube to centre of headtube. Straight 1.5 fork steerer. 68mm bottom bracket shell width. 27.2mm seatpost diameter. It comes with cable and hose guide inserts. It is a lovely quality frame. I have the original Headshok Super Fatty forks that were fitted to it listed separately. Measured frame size is 17-3/4″ centre of BB to top of top tube, 19″ centre of BB to top of seat tube, top tube length is 22 centre to centre. Cannondale class this as a Large frame (shown in frame #) The frame is aluminium CAAD3, forks are Headshok Fatty D, takes a 27.2mm seat post. Colour is Formula Red fade to Blue with White stars. This is a rare colour scheme not seen in the catalogs and as such you don’t see many about. Frame is in good used condition with no dings that I can see. There are few scrapes/paint chips here and there which are to be expected on a frame of this vintage (see pics). There is also a small split at the bottom of the slit on the seat tube (see last pic), was going to drill the bottom of the split but it has been like that for quite sometime and hasn’t got any longer so haven’t bothered. Comes complete with Headshok Fatty D forks (these are working fine), Headshok headset, Coda stem, seat clamp, rear mech hanger and bottom bracket cable guide. Overall this is a very nice frame and project for someone. I have tried to describe & capture (in pics attached) all these areas as best and as honestly as possible so any potential buyers are not disappointed when they receive the goods. I have for sale. X1 Used Cannondale Jekyll 900 frame. In good condition for the age. Colour: Silver + Black. Top tube: 22.5. Fork steerer: 1 1/8″, tapered, 1.5″ or Cannondale lefty/headshock depending on headset. BB shell width: 68mm. Post diameter: 27.2mm. Rear hub required 135mm x 9mm QR. Brake mount: Disc IS. Shock: Fox Float RL. Overall in good condition for the age. Shines up well and really presents well in the sun. No play in the bearings. Scratches and wear present, worst is a cable rub mark to the down tube of non drive side. Pro Pedal has little effect. Would recommend a service to get the best out the shock. Cannondale Rush Frame and Lefty Fork. 100mm Lefty Speed fork – fully working with rebound and lockout settings. Headset bearings are a little rough. Will suit a threaded bottom bracket – threads are clean. Straight head tube – 11.5cm length, 1.56 Lefty fitment. Quick release axel fitment on the rear (135mm). Condition is good, for its age. Some marks and the odd touched up paint on the chain stays. Overall great order with no cracks or structural issues.
As always view my pics close for item condition etc. This retro mountain bike is from the mid 1990′s and as seen is all there and ready to ride. It has spent its life next to the coast and was used on a static caravan site so the sea breeze has caused alloy corrosion on the frame as seen in the pics, if I sanded it back I would destroy the original paint job so I haven’t touched it. It is over 30 years old so the above is normal for a bike that has actually been used for this length of time. In my opinion it is still a cool and retro, rare blast from the past. A lovely retro Cannondale R500 road bike (2.8 aluminium) frameset (Hand built in the USA) in very nice polished aluminium/black. I believe this to be a November 1995 model based on the frame number identification (See photos). There are some chips/scratches/rub marks/sticker damage/oxidisation on the frameset. There are no cracks in the frame (See photos). There are 2 indentation dents where the front mech has been attached to the seat post tube (See photos). It is nothing to worry about. The frame design has a shaped indentation on the drive side chainstay, near the bottom bracket for more clearance for the crankset and the same for the bottom of the drive side seat stay for more clearance around the cassette (See photos). Both of these are part of the frame design and are not damage to the frame and nothing to worry about (See photos). There is some surface rust on the bottle cage bolt holes (See photos). All this is purely cosmetic and nothing to worry about. Comes complete with a bottom bracket which moves very smoothly & freely, aluminium allen key quick release seat post clamp, Cannondale black aluminium removable rear dropout, plastic bottom bracket cable guide and brand new stainless steel bottle cage bolts (See photos). The frameset would be truly stunning when polished up. The frameset has been thoroughly washed and GT85′d. The frame will be carefully wrapped before being posted. Cannondale Jekyll 2019 Frame Used, A few scratches on the swing arm, purely cosmetic and barely noticeable. With a Fox Gemini rear shock, AND also included in the price, A SRAM Truativ Stylo Carbon Chain-set 175mm, on a DUB BB. A Maxell rear through bolt. A rear SRAM G2 Brake, all fitted through the frame. I also include a pre routed gear cable housing.
