DT-Swiss Roval 26 wheel-set, running a little out of true. Full set of Avid Elixir CR SL Hydraulic disk brakes, work well. 150mm Fox float RL Forks, fully working, with working Rebound adjust and lockout. Fox RP23 Rear shock. Operates smoothly with subtle propedal setting. Offers some difference in firmness but not a full lockout. A service would help it perform at 100%. Specialized front and Schwalbe rear tyre, in good used condition (rear close to new). NEW Scott Saddle and Iriduim seat post. In Ready to ride order. Eye-catching Black and red colour combo. Quality Fox Rear Shock and fork. SRAM Carbon 1 speed HollowTech chainset. Smooth shifting, reaches all rear cogs. Wheelset runs well, has tight and smooth bearings. Some light scuffs and scratches but overall the bike is in very tidy order with no structural damage whatsoever! The wheels have some small patches of paint bubbling. Fully working Avid Brake set performs well and give good stopping power. Headset and bottom bracket are smooth with no movement. The bike rides well but a few advisory points are as follows. The shock works very well with propedal firmness adjust but it does not lockout fully. A service could be undertaken to fix this. The rear tyre is a little low on tread. There is a small amount of play in the upper frame linkage. Can be riden fine as it is. There is some slight rubbing of the rear brake pads from the disk. What To Expect From a Used Bike. A bike retailing at 5K new can have a retail tag of 2K five years on. With this saving though, there are a few things to consider. I do my utmost to be honest with the bikes I sell and present them to you in a valeted condition, ready for their new owner. I try to sell bikes that have been checked over thoroughly, are working well and are ready to ride. This though does not mean the bike has been mechanically reconditioned. Please bear in mind that manufactures advise mountain bikes to have suspension serviced every 200 hours of riding and dropper posts every 400 hours. The brakes along with frame/bottom bracket/headset bearings are suggested to be replaced every 12 months. This does depend on the level of use though. If a bike has a few years on the clock please be mindful and realistic of the wear and tear the bike has. Without stripping a bike down to the frame I can only give my opinion on how components feel and how the bike operates. There may every now and then be the odd thing I miss.
