Overall in good condition for the age. No play in the bearings or bushings. Scratches and wear present. A lot, but doesn’t fully lock. Some bobbling to around the bottle cage bolt holes on the underside of the down tube. Sale will include the seat clamp however seat post is not included. Parting out my immaculate 2005 Merlin Oreas. This listing is for the frame ONLY. 2005 Merlin Oreas titanium frame – engraved headtube and bottom bracket – superb condition, no dints, dings, chain rash or significant scratches. 26er frame, 16″ seat-tube centre to centre, effective top 22″. Straight 1&1/8th headtube 4.5. 135mm rear spacing 9mm QR. 68mm BSA thread BB. All normal for the era stuff – disc brake only. Cable stops for front and rear mech. Seat post with shim to accept 27.2mm seat post. Frame only in superb condition – very lightly ridden before I stripped it for a winter rebuild and unridden since. Absolutely superb condition – even the decals are in decent shape – which is good given their fragile nature. More pictures to follow at the weekend. Maverick ML7 Retro Full Suspension Frame Complete With Maverick SC32 Forks. Paul Turner, the founder of Rockshox forks, set up Maverick in the late 90′s/early 2000′s so he could manufacture a frame perfectly matched to his optimum fork design. The ML7 frame launched in 2001 was the result. A 4 travel XC / trail bike which achieved 4 and 5 star reviews in every test. Perfectly accompanied in this case by the revolutionary upside-down RC32 forks with 5 of air travel complete with its own super stiff 24mm front hub design with 6-bolt disc mounts. This particular example was made on 16 June 2004 (the date is nicely engraved on the metal head-badge, along with its builder name: Kiltel). It’s in great condition with the custom Easton AL6069 tub set flawlessly welded and finished in a textured black anodising with zero dents, cracks or scrapes. There are a few scratches and small areas of cable/rub here and there but nothing more than surface deep. The forks are similarly excellent, equipped with a lockout and, as with the custom Fox rear shock, compress and rebound smoothly with no looseness or free-play. The bearings in the 32h front hub are silky smooth, as are those in the integrated FSA headset. The Maverick seat post QR is a thing of beauty and the E-Type XT M760 front mech is included. It’s a size Large and the actual frame dimensions are as follows, with forks and shocks uncompressed. Seat tube centre to top: 54cm / 21.25. Top tube centre to centre actual: 52cm / 20.5. Top tube centre to centre effective horizontal: 56cm / 22. Head tube end to end: 14.5cm / 5.75. Fork steerer length: 21.5cm / 8.5 sufficient for 30mm of spacer above or below the stem. Seatpost diameter: 31.6mm. Frame mass: 2840g / 6.25lb Inc seat post QR and front mech. Fork mass: 1795g / 3.95lb. Hub mass: 250g Inc thru axle. In short this is a masterpiece of design and an important piece of balanced full-suspension MTB history in great condition ready to ride or just look at! Kona Dawg Deluxe, 2008 model. 18 inch frame made of butted race light scandium with 26 inch wheels. Shimano Deore XT front and rear derailleur gear hardware. Hope front headset and rear free wheel hub. Fox Float 32RL forks and Fox RP2 rear shock suspension prividing 140mm of buttery smooth travel. Both shocks have just received a service at South Coast suspension. Fox manufacture the best suspension in my opinion. A new front brake system has also been fitted at Proper in Hassocks. Kona WahWah flat pedals. Included also is a CatEye rear light, Kryponite Evolution D-lock plus KryptoFlex extension cable (I have the keys safe which will all be provided), Wrench Force shock pump and a Bontrager Turbo Charger floor tyre pump. It’s a well riden and well loved bike. It needs nothing and is ready to enjoy. It in in great shape the rides really smooth as I’ve looked after it. Any question, just ask.
