Ibis recognizes that hardtails are still very much relevant, especially when its constructed of gram dropping, stiffness boosting carbon fiber and has thoughtful details and versatility to go bar to bar with a dye in the wool XC bike off the line and into the singletrack or a full-suspension rig on technical trails. Ibis CEO Hans Heim wanted to build a lightweight carbon hardtail that his daughter Lili could race, train on, and afford. Enter the DV9 Mountain Bike Frame, a remarkable foundation just waiting for you to build it up to suit your needs. Starting off with a 1210g frame, its light enough to make any weight-weenie blush yet it packs the stiffness and durability to stand up to whatever you can throw at it. We also appreciate that the frame doesn’t cost a fortune either, in fact, it comes in at only a couple hundred dollars more than many aluminum offerings. Then there’s the geometry that is slacker than your usual XC whippet meaning you can crush the descents and build on the time you earned on the climb, or it just makes for a more fun bike on days when a number plate isn’t strapped to your bars. The frame can accommodate up to 2.6-inch tires giving you plenty of traction over loose trails and cushioning through rock gardens and root lattices, or slap some 2.25-inch treads and get anaerobic. It also plays well with forks in the 100 to 120mm range letting you choose between a more agile 68.5-degree head tube angle or a more stable 67.4-degree one depending on your riding style and local terrain. Either way, its short 439mm chainstays will have you dicing through tight singletrack while remaining composed on high-speed chutes. Final frame details include internal routing, including for a 31.6mm dropper seatpost, post mount rear brake caliper, stiffness-enhancing Boost spacing, threaded bottom bracket shell, and a tapered headtube. Whyte T130s Full Suspension Mountain Bike. Collection in person only. This is an incredible bike and in great condition. Does have a few little marks from use but overall good. Frame size is a Large and wheels are 27.5. The bars have been wrapped by the previous owner , personally I dont like it but the new owner can do as they will. One of the brakes needs sorting out the previous owner said it needs bleeding and some of the bearings throughout the bike could do with replacing and the gears tuning up. 2019 (Current Model) YT Jeffsy Carbon fibre Pro , XL frame Mountain/Bike (MTB). Full specification is available on the YT website. The bike will be packaged in the YT box with all packaging as supplied by YT. In all respects these are superb bikes. The only reason it is for sale is I decided I needed a larger bike. To cut to the chase you will struggle to find one better and hopefully the pictures do a far better job than words. There are a few (around 4) marks on the frame (shown in the pictures). Everything on this bike works as it would when new , it has been cleaned and lubed after each ride. The frame still has that bright new bike feel to it. This YT Jeffsy has completed only 480 miles since new (all recorded on my garmin). It was used only between April and August 2019. Uniquely this used bike comes with a lot of brand new parts (taken from the XXL Jeffsy which has replaced this) I have taken the various upgraded carbon bits off the XL and put them on the XXL. The bike is all original YT specification with the exception of the dropper lever, Ive replaced this with a ZTTO, this is the same design of the Pacific Northwest lever and is a lot more solid than the E13. The bike has a fault , this is that one tooth has come off the 1st gear cog on the cassette , this does not effect gear function at all, I guess most wouldnt mention it but I want the purchaser in no way to feel let down. Please note the carbon bars shown in the photographs of the bike are going to be removed and replaced with the new and unused aluminium 800mm Raceface bars originally fitted. The brand new parts include. The E13 wheels, tyres and tubes. The SRAM GX cranks. The chain and chainring. Any questions please dont hesitate to ask. Given the excellence of this bike , price is totally firm , Im afraid offers will be ignored.
