Also new later design stickers applied by Orange. The electric blue was recommended by Stiff and is by far the best colour IMO. Recent new RockShock monarch rl rear shock. Upgraded to XT derailleur (9 speed), XT Crankset, BB and front mech. Upgraded to Hope headset bearings. There are a few other wear and tear components that have been upgraded, like grips tyres etc. But it still retains: Original Rockshox Recon 351 Solo air forks. Original Avid juicy 3 brakes Original Deore shifters Original Deore hubs Original Mavic X317 rims Original Stalk+ Stem. Recently been cleaned and serviced and ready to use. 2015 Orange Alpine Five 18 29er Mountain Bike Frame. Frame is in good overall condition despite its lifestyle, has been powder coated by previous owner and Indiprint decals applied. Frame bearings are good as are the ones in the tapered Cane Creek Forty headset. Comes with 142×12 Maxle. 30.9 BX seat post and QR clamp is included also. For a dropper post you will need external routing or to drill the seat tube yourself. The frame is not perfect, there are odd scratches as to be expected, there is two marks below the powder coat I have shown in pictures, one is from tyre rub on the swing arm and one is of cable rub on the down tube, they looks terrible in the photos but they are less than a mm deep in reality. The frame is missing one of the grommets on the internal routing as it tore when removing the old hoses. The shock has a small amount of stanchion wear on the underside where the coating has been lightened, the shock has been like this for a long time since before the last service and runs fine. You will need a fork with a long steerer to fit this frame, I had trouble with used forks when building this as everyone cuts the steerer as short as possible. The headtube is a good 140mm tall. 2018 XL frame hardly used. Usual marks and cable rub as you would expect from a mountain bike, overall in good condition. Listing is for frame, headset, seatclamp and rear axle only. Forks and dropper post are listed separately. The new Clockwork 129 pushes the 29er hardtail into the realms of the hardcore arena. Running a 120mm travel fork this one’s for the fast and loose big wheel fans out there. Bigger brother to the 109, the Clockwork 129 has a 10mm longer top tube and its head angle is slackened by a degree. Geometry tuned for a more aggressive and capable longer travel fork. With the same tidy frame features as the 137; neat external routing that tucks the cables neatly under the top tube, internal stealth cable routing for the Kore 150mm dropper post are nice touches. And the 12x148mm bolt-thru rear axle further helps the strength and rigidity of the 29er wheelset. Trail centre hardtail, or out and out explorer, it’s up to you. But however you choose to ride the Clockwork 129 it will be a more than worthy trail buddy.
