Specialized pitch 17.5″ Mountain Bike Frame 26″ Wheel. Used condition has marks chips and scratches from use and has a very slight dent to the downtube as shown in photos but just cosmetic does not effect use of the frame. Comes with bottom bracket but will probably need replacing as bearings feel stiff and gritty. Rear mech hanger included. The frame is to fit disc brakes. Frame bearings feel ok. Rear shock included which X fushion adjustable rebound shock, will need a service, rebound controls work and shock moves but it makes squelchy sound when in use so probably overdue a service. Top tube measurement is 56cm centre to centre. This frame fits 11/8th straight threadless steerer forks, no headset included. Rear dropouts measure 135mm and fit standard quick release wheel type. No headset fitted, takes an external type headset. Please study photos carefully thanks. For sale today is my trusted Specialized Pitch Pro 2008 full suspension Enduro/Trail Mountain Bike Frame. It comes with the RockShox Monarch Plus Debonair RC3 air shock which has a compression damping switch (firm, medium and fully opened settings). Shock was serviced mid way through this season. Frame is in raw untreated aluminum. Can be buffed up to near mirror finish and coated but I like the way it came out. Finish isnt perfect but helps to fade in the cable rubs and light scratches all over. I know it doesnt matter but it does bike got more comments for the looks then I got for my riding skill! Builds into a really good all round bike, depending on what you want to ride, you choose forks that will suit your style. I had Fox 36 coil 160mm Forks on it, but perhaps a variable travel setting fork such as U turn RockShox would suit it better. Original forks on Pitch were Pike 140mm. Standard quick release rear wheel. Takes 1 1/8 fork steerer and 26 wheels. Bike climbs well, more like a 100mm trail bike with help of compression damping, descends with confidence and can really keep up with modern bikes. Ive been to Bike Park Wales, Forest of Dean DH and XX trails, Cwm Carn etc and bike can handle a lot of it without a problem. There are couple things which will need attention soon however. All main pivot bearings have been replaced mid way this season but I havent been able to get at the Horst bearings (back ones) as I didnt have the right puller. Theyre operational but not smooth. You cant really notice it unless you strip the shock down and have play around. There is small amount of play in the shock bushing- replacing it shouldnt be too much of a problem if you have the know how. Quick job for a local bike mechanic otherwise. To compensate for above the frame will come with couple of extra bits. Cane Creak Forty headset. Charge spoon saddle (in pretty poor condition). Superstar components seat post clamp. Can add Shimano Hollowtech II bottom bracket also, but it really is on its last legs so just shout if you want it included. Carbon fibre down tube cover was put on by previous owner and did a great job at keeping the bike neat. Frame is well used so will have many marks especially around chain stay. No dents or kinks so the integrity of the frame is spot o n. Size is medium, Im 510 and would not want it to be any smaller, especially if you like to run shorter (50mm and below) stem. I have described the bike to the best of my knowledge, I loved the frame and are somewhat sad to see it go as its so unique. 2009 Specialized Pitch Comp. 26inch wheels, 140mm rear travel, accepts up to 150mm front. Bike has been used quite regularly and has been stellar since I brought it from new. It’s done a couple of trips to the Alps and handles everything I’m able to ride! X Fusion rear shock is in full working order. There is a headset fitted but I’d recommend a new one, or new bearings as it’s been in there a while. Fitted neoprene chainstay cover provided, and specialized seat post collar. I’ve had this is an all-mountain bike until I’ve recently upgraded and it’s been fantastic. It had rave reviews when it was released and that still rings true now. Its a large from 2009, so likely if you’re fitting a short stem it’ll probably fit closer to a modern medium. Or if you like to run longer stems then it’s obviously still a large. I’m 6ft 2 and rode it fine when I had it, more recently my 5ft 8 girlfriend has been riding it with a shorter stem with no problems. The bike has no dents or cracks, but has wear the usual rub marks and scratches that you’d expect. If you want pictures of particular areas I can upload them for you. I’ve had as much as possible covered so it’s not that bad, and still looks in good condition for its age. This will no doubt be a cracking bike for someone looking for their first full suspension mountain bike, and he plenty of life left in it. Any questions please get in touch.
