Retro 1991 Kuwahara Carbon -Titan MTB Frame 17 Weinmann wheels LX Hubs + Tyres

Retro 1991 Kuwahara 17 (43cm) Japan Carbo-Titan MTB Frame very rare these and look great built up. Currently had rear steel triangle sanded down Ready for re- painting. Has 3 carbon main tubes which have some lacquer peel. Uses alloy lugs and steerer, British thread bottom bracket type, has cane creek 1 1/8th headset cups fitted. Comes with a set of black Weinmann wheels with Deore LX Hubs + original 26×1.90 Cheng shin Tyres in usable condition, good brake surfaces has a 7 speed cassette fitted as these bikes are for a 21 speed 3×7 set up. Comes with 3 of 4 frame cable guides needed and a BB plastic guide. Road bikes use same frame guides for acquiring similar ones as used in this frame. Retro, Marin, Mount Vision Pro. This was the highest in its class at the time of the FRS range. Shimano XTR M951 crankset, with only a granny ring, missing the self extracting nut washer on non drive side, bb no play. Fox vanilla RL rear shock, will need pumping up. Boardman seat, original marin ovation seatpost, clamp needs replacing. Quite scratched up in some places and has been outside for a stint so needs rescuing. Any questions feel free to ask. Lightweight 4130 Chromoly Marin Elite Custom Butted Tubing. The frame has a few knocks and scuffs. This bike has all original parts and is in perfect working order. Giant ATX-D 990 Full Suspension Mountain bike frame. 20 1/2 centre to top. The frame has been stripped down and all the linkages rebuilt. The swingarm had the normal crack so has been replaced with a crack free one. The rear end has been powder coated red. The front triangle is original paint. There are quite a few age related marks. Haro Extreme 1990 retro mountain bike, 17.5″ frame, 26″ wheels. The bike has been recently refurbished and is ready to ride. Paintwork is original, some minor chips and scratches in line with the age of the bike. No signs of rust on the bike at all. Beautiful retro mountain bike with elevated chain stay design. 21 speed (3 x 7) gearing. Ideal for urban riding, commuting or light trail use. Frame size would suit a rider hight of 5’6″ to 5’10″. Shimano Deore LX M550 cranks (170mm), rear derailleur and front derailleur. Shimano Deore LX M560 brifters and front cantilever brake. Front wheel Deore LX HB-M560 on Mavic M261 36H. Rear wheel Deore LX FH-M560 on Mavic M231 36H. Both wheels have Stainless Spokes. Shimano U-II U-brake on the rear, chainstay mounter. Original headset and bottom bracket have been serviced with new bearings. Hubs have also been serviced with new bearings. Both wheels in Excellent condition. Bearings run smooth, freshly serviced (excellent cones). Brakes have brand new Kool Stop Eagle 2 pads fitted. New Maxxis DTH 26×2.1 tyres, perfect for speedy urban riding.
