The paint is deep and glossy with just a few light marks and scratches here and there. The forks compress and rebound as expected and the adjusters all work properly. I raced this frame at Xterra Matterley on 08 Feb 2025 and it was brilliant. Includes the carbon seatpost, FSA headset with smooth bearings and a brand new 70mm giant contact SL stem for 31.8mm handlebars. Since t asking the photos I have removed the Shimano press fit bottom bracket but it can be included free of charge if required. The bearings are OK, but not perfectly smooth. Bontrager Privateer Retro 1998 MTB Frame Size Large / 19. In beautiful Condition having be re-painted to a very high standard about 5 years ago in gloss black with brand new decals from retro decals. They are a few very light marks here and there but nothing of note. This is a Trek-era Privateer, not that that is anything to get stuffy about as they were built to a very high standard in the USA. Despite being of 1998 vintage it had the classic 1 head tube and a rear canti brake hanger so you can build up an early-90′s looking bike with ease. Forks would have been either a 60mm travel Rockshox (I have these available if required) or a tig welded rigid fork with an axle to crown dimension of around 400mm. It’s a size large in Bontrager-speak, which means 19″ when measured in the “standard for the day” “centre to top way. Seat tube centre to centre: 17. Seat tube centre to top: 19. Top tube actual centre to centre: 22.25. Top tube effective horizontal c-c: 22.5. Head tube end to end: 4.25. Seatpost diameter: 27.0mm. Bottom bracket: 73mm BSA I have a suitable Shimano XT (UN72 in my other listings). Front mech: 28.6mm top pull. Will be well wrapped and posted using Parcel Force.

On One Big Dog- 4130 Steel Hardtail Boost Mountain Bike frame- 29er Size Large. Bought new to transfer parts to my titanium frame, hence this frame will be surplus to requirements. Couple of very minor paint chips, see pics. Brake Type: Disc, post mount only. Axle size: Boost spacing 148mm rear. Recommended fork travel: 120-130mm. Max tyre clearance: 2.35 (29).
Very good condition bike but does need a chain fitting. The tyre is flat, but a new inner tube will be fitted before the sale. Size 19 frame large. Lock off suspension fork on the handlebars. Very nice bike just basically needs a new chain fitted.
I believe this to be a Raleigh Ravine from circa 1992. The frame is in pretty tidy condition though the decals have been removed. The paintwork is pretty good apart from some scratches. The inner chain stay is rubbed (you can see where I have removed the protector) – Personally, this wouldn’t be a problem for me as I’d cover it with a protector but I want the listing to be warts and all. The tubing is Reynolds K2 which I believe was made exclusively for this line of Raleigh bikes. Other than that, there are a whole load of brand new parts. The bars are new as are the lock on grips and Dia Compe brake levers. The rear cantis are new. The wheels have been rebuilt with DT spokes on to NOS Alivio hubs and I have used Billy Bonkers tyres. The cassette (7 speed) is also new as is the Charge Spoon saddle. All in all, this is a surprisingly light bike and very pleasant to ride. It feels pretty quick on pavement and I’m sure would handle off road pretty well if you were to replace the tyres – the current tyres are good for light and dry off reading. DeKerf Generation MTB Frame And Rare Tuning Rigid Fork Immaculate. Here we have the holy grail for DeKerf fans, a typically beautiful frame with a matching and very rare set of his Tuning rigid forks. If you know your retro and high-end Canadian steel, you’ll know that Chris DeKerf has been very highly rated right from when he first started making frames under his own name in the early 1990′s. He had previously worked at Rocky Mountain and others before deciding to go it alone. I first became aware of them in 1994, when they had only one model, the Mountain, made from the finest Ritchey WCS tubing, mainly TIG welded but with a’work-of-art’ fillet brazed wishbone and seat-cluster. They subsequently added a slightly cheaper model, the Generation, made from Reynolds 631 which lost the fillet brazed seat cluster area, and the top of the range hardtail was renamed the SL, made from Reynolds 853 tubing. This is an example of the Generation model, frame number DEK2596. The 631 tubing gives a slightly more comfortable ride with very little increase in frame weight. Later models of the SL from this era also lost the fillet brazing so tube-type is the only real difference between them. It’s a DeKerf size 18.5 with the following actual dimensions. Seat Tube Centre to Top: 18.5 / 47cm. Top Tube Effective Horizontal Centre to Centre with the Tuning forks : 23.5 / 59.5cm. Head Tube End to End: 4.25 / 11cm. Headset size: 1 1/8. Seatpost size: 27.2mm. Wheel size: 26. Axle spacing: 100mm front / 135mm rear. Frame weight: 1995g. Fork weight: 1090g. This particular example is in excellent used condition sporting its original dark metallic green paint which is deep and even all over, with a glossy shine. DeKerf paint is still the best I have even seen. There are a few light marks and chips here and there, most notably above the brake bosses on the forks. There are also some very light scratches along the left side of the top tube from the gear and brake cables but these are hardly noticeable. Over the past 15 years I’ve built up a collection of around a dozen DeKerfs. In all that time this is the only Tuning fork I’ve seen for sale. I’ve now decided to slowly sell all but one of them to fund expansion of my Warwickshire based bike fitting business, Precision Cycle Fit. I’m thinning my collection of DeKerfs from 7 to 1! Currently listed is an 18.5 Tangerine Singlespeed. I also have an 18.5″ Team SL disc in goldy-green and great condition and a 17.5″ Team SL disc which needs a repaint. I’ll be listing these in time but let me know if you are interested and I can pop them up sooner. This is considerably less than what you’d pay for a new one and available now! For 26 wheels and rim brakes only! Will be very carefully packed with each tube protected with thick, new foam pipe lagging and rear axle spacer installed before being placed in to a sturdy box.
