This is my offroad proflex 750 that I’ve owned since 1994. Over the years it has moved house with us several times and been upgraded, downgraded and then neglected and used for spares by my sons who eventually abandoned it in a sorry looking state. I have always loved this bike and remember it attracting a lot of attention in it’s day. It was the first full suspension bike on the market in 1990/91 with the patented Girvin flexstem. These days, old models like this are still sought after as retro classics and they are hard to come by. I have lovingly and painstakingly restored this one by stripping it down to the bone and polishing the aluminium frame. I have used as many of the original parts as I could (stripping and servicing them along the way). Any missing parts have been replaced by good quality used or new. I have replaced the old shifters with shimano STX rapidfire…. New chain / all new cables / tubes / brakes etc. All the old elastomer bushes have been replaced with new…. I will be sad to see it go but the alternative will be going back in the barn and collecting dust. It looks great and is cleaned oiled polished and ready to go.
