Canyon Bikes MTB Frame Pivot Bearings (Nerve, Lux, Strive, Torque, Spectral)

Canyon Bikes MTB Frame Pivot Bearings (Nerve, Lux, Strive, Torque, Spectral)

This listing is for sets of sealed cartridge bearings for Canyon Bikes Frame Pivots. They do not include bottom bracket bearings or headset bearings. The main picture of bearings is only a stock picture & doesn’t indicate what bearings you receive in a kit! For Bearing Extraction & Installation Tools see my listing below. Visit my YouTube Channel at the link below for my’How To’ videos. The tools also come with a printed instruction sheet on how to use them. The bearings in the seat tube pivot & bottom bracket pivot need to be removed using a standard drift/punch or blunt socket. PLEASE NOTE: The picture is only indicative of what the tools look like, it isn’t exactly what parts are contained in the kits! Please Note:- The GE8C Spherical Bearings in the earlier Nerve & Lux Main Pivot is ChromeSteel/PTFE Composite material, these are not available as Full Compliment Bearings Bearings Multiple Items!! This will help us to speed up processing your order. MAX Full Compliment Bearings – Important Note! Spectral AL/CF 2014 – 2017, Strive AL/CF 2015 – 2017 & Nerve AL 2014 – 2017, Nerve AL 29 2013 – 201 7, Torque (EX, FRX 2012 – 2014, DHX 2015 – 2017) & LUX CF 2014 – 2017. These manufacture years use the same pivot bearings in both carbon & alloy frames. The above frames are factory fitted with Angular Contact (Full Compliment) Bearings (ACB) in the main pivot (Bottom Bracket) & seatstay rocker pivot. 4 Bearings in total. I’ve had a number of 2014 & even 2015 Spectral’s in the workshop due to problems with these ACB’s, they had collapsed in a very short time period. I’ve found the non ACB bearings last longer & can be removed much easier when they need replacing. When ACB’s collapse the outer bearing race is left stuck in the frame & you will need to use a blind bearing puller to remove this. If you require Angular Contact Bearings (ACB’s) as those which are factory fitted please choose the option – MAX Full Compliment (ACB). Individually Listed MAX Bearings. 698 MAX E VRS Full Compliment Bearings – These are the bearings found in the rear dropouts of the 2014 onwards Strive, Spectral, Nerve, Torque. These bearings sit back to back in pairs 2 each side. Do not attempt to remove these by pushing both out from one side, they must be pulled out individually! 7902 VRS & 6902 VRS MAX Full Compliment Bearings. Found in the Main Pivot (Bottom Bracket) in pairs. 2014+ Strive, Spectral, Nerve, Torque. 7901 VRS & 6901 VRS MAX Full Compliment Bearings. Found in the Seat Tube Pivot in pairs. GE8C Spherical Bearing – This is the Main Pivot (Bottom Bracket) Bearing found in pairs in Nerve’s upto & Including 2013. Bottom Bracket Pivot Bearing is not the Bottom Bracket bearings (where the crank axle rotates). This component is separate to the frame pivots. I do have bearings to fit some of the higher end bottom brackets for sale in my listing, link below. Some BB’s like the Shimano ones & SRAM GXP need the whole unit replacing. Chrome Steel (ABEC 1). Hardened Chromium Steel balls in a steel cage with a generous grease fill. Looked after with regular greasing & avoid pressure washers & solvent cleaners they will last well in normal off road riding conditions. MAX Full Compliment (ABEC 3). The bearings I supply are the same OEM parts as fitted in Canyon frames. These are capable of withstanding much higher loadings than the standard caged roller bearings above. Compared to bearings with cages, full compliment bearings have an increased load capacity of around 40% or more. This type of bearing is highly suited to suspension pivots on mountain bikes, where there is a higher load and a lower rotation rate. The whole point of MAX Full compliment bearings is that more balls allow for greater strength in lower rotation, high load applications. Most top end bikes come with these fitted as standard & are designed for hard riding. Please Note : These kits contain the Pivot Bearings Only. They do not contain any washers or other hardware. If you look after your frame pivots & replace the bearings regularly you shouldn’t need to replace your other washers & hardware. Keep everything well greased, avoid pressure washing at all costs & avoid using solvent based sprays & lubricants around your bearings, as these dissolve the grease in the bearings! Also included with your bearings kit is a comprehensive, photographic list of instructions & guide to the type of tools you need to carry out this procedure.
