Mountain Bike Frame

For sale today is my trusted Specialized Pitch Pro 2008 full suspension Enduro/Trail Mountain Bike Frame. It comes with the RockShox Monarch Plus Debonair RC3 air shock which has a compression damping switch (firm, medium and fully opened settings). Shock was serviced mid way through this season. Frame is in raw untreated aluminum. Can be buffed up to near mirror finish and coated but I like the way it came out. Finish isnt perfect but helps to fade in the cable rubs and light scratches all over. I know it doesnt matter but it does bike got more comments for the looks then I got for my riding skill! Builds into a really good all round bike, depending on what you want to ride, you choose forks that will suit your style. I had Fox 36 coil 160mm Forks on it, but perhaps a variable travel setting fork such as U turn RockShox would suit it better. Original forks on Pitch were Pike 140mm. Standard quick release rear wheel. Takes 1 1/8 fork steerer and 26 wheels. Bike climbs well, more like a 100mm trail bike with help of compression damping, descends with confidence and can really keep up with modern bikes. Ive been to Bike Park Wales, Forest of Dean DH and XX trails, Cwm Carn etc and bike can handle a lot of it without a problem. There are couple things which will need attention soon however. All main pivot bearings have been replaced mid way this season but I havent been able to get at the Horst bearings (back ones) as I didnt have the right puller. Theyre operational but not smooth. You cant really notice it unless you strip the shock down and have play around. There is small amount of play in the shock bushing- replacing it shouldnt be too much of a problem if you have the know how. Quick job for a local bike mechanic otherwise. To compensate for above the frame will come with couple of extra bits. Cane Creak Forty headset. Charge spoon saddle (in pretty poor condition). Superstar components seat post clamp. Can add Shimano Hollowtech II bottom bracket also, but it really is on its last legs so just shout if you want it included. Carbon fibre down tube cover was put on by previous owner and did a great job at keeping the bike neat. Frame is well used so will have many marks especially around chain stay. No dents or kinks so the integrity of the frame is spot o n. Size is medium, Im 510 and would not want it to be any smaller, especially if you like to run shorter (50mm and below) stem. I have described the bike to the best of my knowledge, I loved the frame and are somewhat sad to see it go as its so unique.
