This is the top spec model with upgraded shock and It’s been listed a while and and can’t believe it’s not caught someone’s eye and snapped up before now! Haven’t been able to ride this. I’m not really feeling the big bike vibe and prefer gravel and XC mtb. Have decided to use this sale to fund upgrades to other bikes. Fast and agile, Cortex is a mid-travel full suspension trail bike frameset for big mountain epics on all terrain and flying round your local trail centre. It comes alive on long technical descents with 135mm travel at the rear (we recommend a 140mm travel fork) big wheels and a stiff, responsive frame. With bang up to date geometry, Cortex inspires confidence with a playful character. Stand up and mash on the pedals out of turns, manual sections of trail and pop off tree stumps, rocks and roots. Smash out short and loose technical climbs, flat-out descents and tight techy singletrack sections. The harder you push the bigger your grin. The tried and tested Horst link design keeps the suspension active when braking. We’ve fine tuned the leverage curve and worked with SRAM RockShox to produce a rear shock that’s custom-tuned for the Cortex – maximum downhill performance while maintaining the all-day pedalling efficiency from its predecessor. Cortex is your do-it-all bike of choice for lakeland 30-milers and flat-out trail centre laps alike; with enough travel to carry speed over longer sections of rough ground and a lively, playful feel through the twisty bits. Cortex’ frameset is hand-welded from 6061 double-butted aluminium for the perfect mix of weight, rigidity and durability; with a slim hydroformed top-tube and down-tube designed to improve stiffness with just enough compliance to get you out of trouble. Internal cable and stealth dropper routing means clean lines, dampened with foam liners for a quiet ride. Dialed-in geometry and 2.4 tyre clearance gives heaps of grip; a comfortable and efficient climbing position for big days in the saddle; and a stable, spirited platform for smashing down descents. UP TO DATE TRAIL BIKE GEOMETRY Trail bike agility with Enduro bike stability, the Cortex has a confidence inspiring, stable and responsive ride. Increased chainstay length for the Large and XL frames maintains consistent weight distribution for riders of all heights. METRIC SHOCK STANDARD Designed around metric shock sizing standard, with lengthened shocks and shorter strokes that increase bushing overlap for more smooth, supple, sensitive and reactive suspension action. We’ve worked with SRAM to produce a rear shock that’s specifically tuned for the Cortex – and made sure those benefits are felt across a wider range of rider size and weight. 140mm travel at the front and 135mm at the rear lets you carry higher speeds over rough ground without sacrificing pedalling efficiency. HORST LINK SUSPENSION DESIGN The tried and tested Horst Link suspension design allows the suspension to stay active when braking. We’ve fine-tuned the suspension leverage curve to maximise performance on the downhill while maintaining efficient uphill pedalling – so no need for climb switches. INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING Internal routing in the front triangle makes for clean lines and tidy cables, with dampened foam liners for a quiet ride. UNIVERSAL DERAILLEUR HANGER UDH Keeping up with industry standards, Cortex uses a UDH hanger. They’re widely available so you can get rolling again sooner after any mid-ride mishaps! The UDH also makes Cortex compatible with the latest SRAM Transmission groupsets. Hydroformed and custom butted alloy frame tubing Internal cable routing Rear Shock: 210x50mm metric shock – Custom tuned for the frame Horst link suspension layout 135mm rear travel; 140mm fork travel Frame clearance for up to 29 x 2.4 wide tyres BSA BB with ISCG-05 chain guide tabs UDH Boost 148 x 12mm rear thru-axle 31.6mm seat tube, 34.9mm clamp Headset: ZS44/28.6 top, ZS56/40 bottom.

Go grab yourself a fantastic classic full. Suspension Kona at a snip of a price. Any questions text me on 07970047692 and i’ll come back to you. Kona sales pitch from 2010: For the discerning free-crosser, that soldiered soul who climbs to the huck-and-hold goodness of advanced mountain cycling, the Kona CoilAir Deluxe does everything good. XC one day, dirt jumps the next, shuttle-descents on Thursday to mega alpine assaults all weekend long, thanks to the refined G2 Magic Link technology, the CoilAir has the instinctive ability to change geometry, suspension performance and length of rear travel depending on your type of riding and the terrain at hand. Entering its third year of all-mountain, free-cross glory, we’ve completely gone over everything on the bike and made it faster, lighter, stronger, stiffer. With a completely redesigned frame from the ground up, the Kona CoilAir Deluxe is quite simply, the Answer’s Answer.
Kona Dawg Deluxe, 2008 model. 18 inch frame made of butted race light scandium with 26 inch wheels. Shimano Deore XT front and rear derailleur gear hardware. Hope front headset and rear free wheel hub. Fox Float 32RL forks and Fox RP2 rear shock suspension prividing 140mm of buttery smooth travel. Both shocks have just received a service at South Coast suspension. Fox manufacture the best suspension in my opinion. A new front brake system has also been fitted at Proper in Hassocks. Kona WahWah flat pedals. Included also is a CatEye rear light, Kryponite Evolution D-lock plus KryptoFlex extension cable (I have the keys safe which will all be provided), Wrench Force shock pump and a Bontrager Turbo Charger floor tyre pump. It’s a well riden and well loved bike. It needs nothing and is ready to enjoy. It in in great shape the rides really smooth as I’ve looked after it. Any question, just ask.
PLEASE NOTE THE DVO JADE SHOCK IN PICTURES IS NOT INCLUDED. THE ROCKSHOX SUPER DELUXE ULTIMATE SHOCK IS WHAT WILL BE SUPPLIED. 2023 Pivot Switch blade Carbon Mountain Bike Full Suspension Frameset. 142mm of rear travel which pairs with a 160mm fork. Size XL but only marginally bigger than a lot of modern day size large frames. Concentrating on endurance riding this year so I’ve decided to sell. Gutted as haven’t even ridden it and loved this frame in this colour. Frameset with Headset, seat collar and BB fitted. New Pivot stem for 35mm bars 45mm length. New Pivot grips in black. This is a 2023 frame and it was used briefly last summer with the overall condition being excellent. This isn’t the newly released version but an updated version of the 2021 bike so it now has a sram UDH hanger on there so will take the new Sram t Type wireless transmissions. The frame is fitted with a full invisiframe kit. There are couple of wrinkles in it from when it was fitted. Frame is fitted with the very robust Hope press fit 30mm BB for 30mm cranks like raceface and e thirteen use. I had intended to install e thirteen TRS carbon cranks which are sub 500 grams for an enduro crankset. I’ve checked over the frame and there is not a single scuff on the invisiframe or downtube protector. The only marks on the frame are on the rear brake mount from when the rear wheel was being taken on and off and the rotor has marked the paint.
The headset is still smooth. In the last year or so the bike has completed the Jenn Ride, raced (quite slowly) the Boltby Bash, spent a week in Morzine, ridden Dyfi and Golfie, and been my weekly ride around hebden bridge never missing a beat.
Kona Kula Deluxe mountain bike frame & Rockshox Sid Race Forks Size 18in 26in wheels, xt front mech, cartridge cane creek headset. Forks have been checked over & lower leg service. Yt Capra Cf Pro Frame medium yellow black. Good condition as pictured. Comes with a rockshox deluxe shock and a cros headset. The bottom bearing in the headset isn’t great so will need looking at when building it up.
