Specialized Rockhopper Expert 2018 – Excellent Condition – Ready to Ride! Up for sale is a Specialized Rockhopper Expert 2018, an excellent mountain bike built for both performance and durability. One owner from new I have had many happy miles general cross country with very little trail centre use. Fork: Suntour XCR Air Forks, 100mm of travel for smooth riding over rough terrain. New seals fitted following strip down and lube service carried out. Wheels: Stout 29-inch wheels for optimal stability and speed, equipped with Slime inner tubes (Presta valves) to protect against punctures. Drivetrain: Recently changed Shimano Deore 3×9 drivetrain. Major service carried out in 2024 with new cassette, cranks, chainrings, chain, bottom bracket, axles and headset bearing. Brakes: Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, providing excellent stopping power in all weather conditions. Plenty of life left in discs and pads with the brakes having been recently bled. Tires: Ground Control 2.1 x 29 inch, designed for traction and speed on a variety of surfaces. The bike has been well-maintained with regular servicing to ensure peak performance. Minor signs of use on the frame and components (please see photos), but nothing that affects the ride quality. Abrasion on the blue vinyl underneath the crossbar caused by maintenance stand clamp. Saddle showing signs of wear but very comfortable for long rides. Brakes, and drivetrain are all in excellent working order. Post diameter: 30.9mm. Rear hub required 135mm QR. Brake mount: IS mounts. Shock: Fox Future Shock. Overall in good condition. No Cracks or dents. No play in the bearings. Main bearings above the BB have just been replaced. Frame has minor marks from use, ie scratches. Some chain suck marks to the chainstay. Shock makes some squelching noises. I HAVE REPLACED A PAIR OF STANDARD BEARINGS ON LOWER PATHLINK AS THEY WERE A BIT NOTCHY MUCH BETTER NOW THOUGH NOT PERFECT AS TOP COULD DO WITH A SWAP, I FEEL ABOUT USABLE AS IS. This is the M5 anodised aluminium frame the most advanced technology Specialized introduced to 26 inch frames. This frame is from 2009 last year Specialized had 26inch bike in offer. Original headset included 1 1/8. Rear dropouts for 135mm hub QR. Full geometry spec in last photo. Please refer to size 18 in the spec.
