Trek Remedy frame and Fox 36 fork

Trek Remedy 8, used by me from 2010 to 2013, a few years in storage, then by my son-in-law in 2019. Trek size 17.5 inch, measures about 42cm centre of b/b to top of seat tube, 57cm centre to centre of top tube. 150mm rear travel, RockShox Monarch rear air shock, 200 x 57mm. I don’t know much about this shock as it was fitted by my son-in-law, so it’s only a couple of years old, and I haven’t ridden it. The fork is a tapered steerer Fox Float 36 RC2, 160mm travel, 20mm through axle. Best fork I ever used when I was mountain biking, low and high speed compression adjustable separately and pretty light too. Frame needs 26 wheels and a 31.6mm seatpost. Rear hub needs to be 135mm spacing and quick release type. The extra long quick release lever needed as the hub and rear pivot are concentric is included. Condition is well used, plenty of paint scuffs on frame and fork, but all bearings good and no dents. When I was taking the pictures I noticed a very small amount of oil leakage around the left fork seal, stanchions are good but fork seals might need replacing. Built up to just under 30 pounds weight and was a blast to ride, hopefully will see more challenging trails soon….. ANOTHER VINTAGE MTB LISTING FROM CLASSIC_MTBS_ON_IG. Vintage MTB 1988 Merlin Titanium Mountain Frame 17 w/ Kona P2 Fork. An excellent example of early Titanium design. 1988 Merlin Mountain Titanium Frame. It has the smaller diameter down tube so its either 1988 or real early 1989. Frame has decal wear as per the pics and some chain marks, but no damage, dents, or issues. It comes with the OG Merlin BB (I’d grease it) and a freshly powedercoated 1988 Kona P2 fork. 17 ST and 21.75TT. The frame has a 1 Headtube, takes a 27.2 post, and requires a U Brake rear brake. Larger items will travel via bike flights. It will sometimes take an extra week or so for the paperwork to go through… Please be patient with us. All products will be carefully packaged for their transport. Things shift in transport so you will need to have a professional bike mechanic adjust and inspect it prior to use. Proper care needs to be taken in using this product safely. Please make sure a professional bike mechanic examines your bike prior to use and ride lightly. Designed to be a racing mountain bike, the Al-Mega DX was born in 1990 and had an innovative aluminum frame including a curved seat tube This was one of their Elevated Oversize System bikes in a range that included the Ti-Mega (titanium frame) and Cro-Mega (steel alloy with chromium frame). It was factory fitted with 21 speed Shimano Deore DX shifters/gears and Shimano Deore DX brakes, and weighed only 12.1 kg. The funky paint work was another stand out feature of the Al Mega DX. XL – KHS Team ST Soft Tail MTB Bike – Steel. Beautiful Frame and fork, but needs some work. This bike was originally built up but barely ridden, and not off road, mostly sat in storage. The scratches are due to storage, I tried to get pics of them. Rock Shox SID Race Titanium. The fork “currently seems to work” ,,,, however,,, the stantions are pitted, and the little red cap on the top of the adjuster is cracked (but the screw is there). I was going to send fork in to aftermarket company for rebuild (and keep it since its hard to find straight 1 1/8 forks), but decided against it. It is a great fork, but if you read up, its is notorious for internals falling apart. A proper rebuild or retrofit, (which is necessary), would make a nice fork though. It is a XL frame. But very nice True Temper tubing. Good for someone looking for a little retro steel frame and would rebuild the fork. True Temper OX Ultra tubes. BB to top tube 500mm. BB width is 68mm! Easton Monkey Bars (old school cut – like 600). Easton CT2 Seatpost (odd size that fits the steel seat-tube). Easton EA70 Stem 130mm.
