1993 Answer Manitou HT Frameset. This loving restored frameset has had the head tube replaced (cracked as they all do) and polished back to the high shine it used to have. Includes the very hard to find Shimano M900 XTR front mech. Frame size – 18.5″ which I think they referred to as 19″. Head Tube – 1 1/4. Seat post – Ringle /Answer post. Front Mech – Special Answer Shimano M900 XTR. Manitou 3 shocks in great condition, had a rebuild approx 3 years ago but probably 20 miles use since (on another bike). Answer Manitou ahead Stem. These stems are a serious icon of the early 90′s mountain world, Answer produced products of innovation, light weight; strong and of great design. Size – 1 1/4 and 140mm long. Collection preferred from cambs but could post in a bike box I have, lots of other mint or nos parts available that were bought for this bike.

Maverick ML7 Retro Full Suspension Frame Complete With Maverick SC32 Forks

Maverick ML7 Retro Full Suspension Frame Complete With Maverick SC32 Forks. Paul Turner, the founder of Rockshox forks, set up Maverick in the late 90′s/early 2000′s so he could manufacture a frame perfectly matched to his optimum fork design. The ML7 frame launched in 2001 was the result. A 4 travel XC / trail bike which achieved 4 and 5 star reviews in every test. Perfectly accompanied in this case by the revolutionary upside-down RC32 forks with 5 of air travel complete with its own super stiff 24mm front hub design with 6-bolt disc mounts. This particular example was made on 16 June 2004 (the date is nicely engraved on the metal head-badge, along with its builder name: Kiltel). It’s in great condition with the custom Easton AL6069 tub set flawlessly welded and finished in a textured black anodising with zero dents, cracks or scrapes. There are a few scratches and small areas of cable/rub here and there but nothing more than surface deep. The forks are similarly excellent, equipped with a lockout and, as with the custom Fox rear shock, compress and rebound smoothly with no looseness or free-play. The bearings in the 32h front hub are silky smooth, as are those in the integrated FSA headset. The Maverick seat post QR is a thing of beauty and the E-Type XT M760 front mech is included. It’s a size Large and the actual frame dimensions are as follows, with forks and shocks uncompressed. Seat tube centre to top: 54cm / 21.25. Top tube centre to centre actual: 52cm / 20.5. Top tube centre to centre effective horizontal: 56cm / 22. Head tube end to end: 14.5cm / 5.75. Fork steerer length: 21.5cm / 8.5 sufficient for 30mm of spacer above or below the stem. Seatpost diameter: 31.6mm. Frame mass: 2840g / 6.25lb Inc seat post QR and front mech. Fork mass: 1795g / 3.95lb. Hub mass: 250g Inc thru axle. In short this is a masterpiece of design and an important piece of balanced full-suspension MTB history in great condition ready to ride or just look at! Each tube will be will be protected with thick new. Finally, if you are thinking of a bike fit, why not visit my Precision Cycle Fit website shown on the last photo. Winter is the perfect time for a bike fit to get your position perfected ready for the longer and more joyous rides and races of spring and summer.

Rocky mountain slayer special edition 26er frame and fork. I brought this bike few years ago, it was always to small for me, I used it for parts to build up an orange 5. This frame size is 18″ the top tube is 22″ from centre of head tube to centre of seatpost tube. The rear suspension is a fox float rp3 120mm. The front fork is fox vanilla rlc coil sprung and is 130mm travel. This model was built between 2003 and 2005. Condition is fairly good, it’s quite old so it has scuff marks and scratches as pictured, the forks have a few areas that could do with touching up. Tubes and welds all good.

Saracen Ariel 1 26 Full Suspension Horst-Link MTB Frame w Fox TALAS Forks

This well-loved frame and forks would make a great basis for a budget full-suss build for a young and/or short rider. With a mixed 140mm/125mm travel (adjustable at both ends), it’s the perfect setup for enjoying modern trails. This bike has a really shallow seattube angle, which means that as the saddle height increases there’s a very noticeable change in the bike’s reach. This would be especially useful if the bike is for a growing rider. Size: Medium (18 bb-centre to top of seatpost clamp). Travel: Adjustable 100/125mm (4/5). 4-bar Linkage design (Horst-Link). For 26 quick-release wheels. Spare mech hanger included. RLC – Adjustable Rebound / Lockout / Compression. TALAS travel-adjusting system for 140/120/100mm travel. For 26 Quick-Release wheel. FSA Pig DH Pro. Everything on the bike was working fine before I retired it, but it’s been sat in storage for over 10 years after that. I can’t give any guarantees that things haven’t suffered from the effects of corrosion/perishing and stopped working properly in that time. My assessments on the state of it are limited by the fact that it’s no longer a complete bike, so it’s hard to properly assess certain things about it (especially the suspension). The frame has plenty of wear-and-tear, most notably from a bunch of chain-drops because this was ridden back in the days of triple front chainsets. Fitting a modern 1x system should mean that this doesn’t happen any more, and you could use the nubby little second-seattube to mount a clamp-on chain guide if you want to go the whole-hog. The pivot bearings weren’t new, but the suspension still feels like it’s moving freely. There’s a teeny little bit of play in the system, but I think it’s coming from the upper shock bushing and not the bearings. All of the dials on the forks still turn, but it’s hard to say if the internals are still fully doing their job. The TALAS system doesn’t seem able to access the lowest-travel setting (100mm), but the forks have retained their air-pressure astonishingly well over the years. The shock feels like it needs a new upper bushing. Headset bearings feel surprisingly good. Mech hanger looks straight, but I’m providing a brand-new spare with the frame, so it shouldn’t scupper anything if it isn’t.
