There is a small dent on the top tube, which is shown in the photos. It is very minor and doesn’t affect the integrity of the frame whatsoever. There are the usual scuffs and marks from usage but still in good condition and fully functional. All the pivots are tight and moving smoothly with no play. The bottom bracket threads are mint as is the rear mech hanger and thread. The Manitou Swinger 3 way air shock is in great shape with no leaks, and the stanchion has no wear or scratches. The seal has no cracks or perishing and it holds sir. The rebound adjuster is working as it should. Frame size is MEDIUM and the dimensions are. 17 inches from centre of bottom bracket to top of seat tube. 22 inches from centre of seat tube to centre of headtube. 49mm external headset cup diameter. 68mm bottom bracket shell width. It is a very nice quality frame, and it would build a great bike. Please have a good look at the photos before purchasing and check out my other retro bicycle components listed.

I have for sale. X1 Used Orange five frame. Just restored, frame was professionally stripped and powder coated. Bottom Bracket was chased and the shell faced. Lastly new genuine decals and head badge from Orange applied. Top tube: 22.5. Fork steerer: 1 1/8. BB shell width: 73mm. Post diameter: 27.2mm. Rear hub required 135mm x 9mm QR. Brake mount: IS Disc mount. Shock: Manitou Swinger 3 Way. Overall in superb condition. No play in the bearings or bushings. The shock works well as does its rebound. With the new paint it look superb. There is a tiny dink on the down tube (see picture). There are a couple of tiny blemishes to the paint but you aren’t going to find a better Orange five frame any time soon. Sale will include the seat clamp however seat post is not included. As the old saying goes a picture is worth a thousand words and if we were to list every scratch on every product they would be very long listings, so instead we attempt to give fair representation of the product with any visual defects shown to assist in you decision making. 1993 Answer Manitou HT Frameset. This loving restored frameset has had the head tube replaced (cracked as they all do) and polished back to the high shine it used to have. Includes the very hard to find Shimano M900 XTR front mech. Frame size – 18.5″ which I think they referred to as 19″. Head Tube – 1 1/4. Seat post – Ringle /Answer post. Front Mech – Special Answer Shimano M900 XTR. Manitou 3 shocks in great condition, had a rebuild approx 3 years ago but probably 20 miles use since (on another bike). Answer Manitou ahead Stem. These stems are a serious icon of the early 90′s mountain world, Answer produced products of innovation, light weight; strong and of great design. Size – 1 1/4 and 140mm long. Collection preferred from cambs but could post in a bike box I have, lots of other mint or nos parts available that were bought for this bike.

Thanks for looking at this great piece of Manitou History. This was one of the MOMBAT (Museum of Mountain Bike Art and Technology) Manitou’s. I used the parts for another build and what you have here is as it was exactly other than the parts I removed. I believe but may be wrong that they used a spacer in the headtube. I noticed a small ding on the down tube and some scratches on the top tube (pictured).. Would’ve been that way as it did not happen on my watch. Here’s a cool opportunity to build up a great bike! This is a used bike and is in good used condition but please expect the usual scuffs decal loss and minor scratches that would be expected form a used bike of this age. There are no dents or cracks. This bike has been sitting for a while. If you are expecting a new bike I strongly suggest you consider contacting your local bike shop directly for a new 2021 model.
