Specialized Rockhopper Expert 2018 – Excellent Condition – Ready to Ride! Up for sale is a Specialized Rockhopper Expert 2018, an excellent mountain bike built for both performance and durability. One owner from new I have had many happy miles general cross country with very little trail centre use. Fork: Suntour XCR Air Forks, 100mm of travel for smooth riding over rough terrain. New seals fitted following strip down and lube service carried out. Wheels: Stout 29-inch wheels for optimal stability and speed, equipped with Slime inner tubes (Presta valves) to protect against punctures. Drivetrain: Recently changed Shimano Deore 3×9 drivetrain. Major service carried out in 2024 with new cassette, cranks, chainrings, chain, bottom bracket, axles and headset bearing. Brakes: Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, providing excellent stopping power in all weather conditions. Plenty of life left in discs and pads with the brakes having been recently bled. Tires: Ground Control 2.1 x 29 inch, designed for traction and speed on a variety of surfaces. The bike has been well-maintained with regular servicing to ensure peak performance. Minor signs of use on the frame and components (please see photos), but nothing that affects the ride quality. Abrasion on the blue vinyl underneath the crossbar caused by maintenance stand clamp. Saddle showing signs of wear but very comfortable for long rides. Brakes, and drivetrain are all in excellent working order. Orange Stage 6 2021 medium frame with Fox DPX2 shock headset and Invisiframe kit

This is my Orange Stage 6 frame, 2021 model. It’s size medium. Also included are the Fox DPX2, the Cane Creek headset, and a brand new Invisiframe frame protection kit. This is a 150mm travel frame, built for a 160mm front fork. It is boost rear and takes a 73mm BB and 30.9mm dropper. Orange replaced the arm with the improved version to prevent it recurring, and also refinished the rest of the frame for me to match the new arm, in Norlando Grey, with new bearings and stickers. So half of the bike is literally new and the other half has been refurbished to brand new condition at the factory. At the same time, the shock was serviced by TF Tuned. It will probably have some very minor storage marks if you get it under the microscope but visually you’d take it for a new frame. It’s literally never been rebuilt or ridden since- to be honest I bought the wrong size, I should have been on a large, and while it was off at Orange (which took a while) I picked up a longer Bird AM9 as an experiment, and basically fell in love with that. I kept the Orange in storage in case I changed my mind, but now with a house move coming it’s time to move it on to a new home. If you don’t want this, drop me a message and I can make a discounted offer without it. Obviously it’s now a slighter model but if you ask me they got this very right in 2021- the new version is a little longer but the geometry is otherwise almost identical, the travel is the same, and it is absolutely horrible to look at. I mean what were they thinking, it looks like it’s been broken and welded back together in a backstreet garage. This one’s so much nicer. I mean, you can’t look at it when you’re riding it but you still know, don’t you. Parts etc are still available from Orange and it is all the modern standards, boost rear end, metric shock etc, it’s as modern and up to date a bike as the new one is. Collection/viewing is possible in EH26 (20 minutes from Glentress).

Orange SUB 5 Full Suspension Mountain Bike Frame. Early Five Predecessor similar design to the first Fives. Very nice cosmetic condition. No dents or cracks. Light marks here and there. The only real point of note is the seat tube where the front mech clamping area has been disturbed and some paint has flaked off. Lovely black paintwork otherwise. Seat Tube = 18 (460 mm) Centre to Top. Top Tube = 23 (585 mm) Centre to Centre measured along length of tube. Weight = 2925g/6.45lb. For 26 Disc brake wheels. Shock hardware included, no shock. Rear Swingarm swings freely.
