I have for sale my Orange 5 which I have owned since 2012. Frame had new bearings and new BB/headset as the first thing I did back then and they are still fine great today. Bike would probably suit someone in the region of 5’6 to 5’9 if I was to guess. If there is anything you would like to know please let me know. Bike: 2004/2005 Orange 5. (Top tube length measures 56cm approximately). Fork: Fox Float R 130mm. Shock: Fox Float RP23. Headset: Cane Creek External. Bottom Bracket: Shimano Deore Hollowtech. Stem: Thomson Elite 80mm for 25.4mm bars. Handlebars: Easton MonkeyLite DH 720mm Carbon Fibre. Grips: Lock on grips in black (can’t remember the brand). Bar ends: Hope Grip Doctors in Black (bit scuffed up/scratched). Seat Post: Easton 27.2mm. Seat Clamp: Hope Seat Clamp 31.8mm. Saddle: SDG Bel Air (Black with Green stitching). Pedals: Wellgo B54′s in Silver. Brakes: Shimano Deore M596 levers, hoses and calipers. Rotors: Shimano RT56 180mm front and Shimano RT75 160mm back. Crankset: Shimano Deore M590 (42/32/24). Chain: Shimano HG54 10 speed. Gear Shifters: Shimano Deore M591 3×10 with Rapidfire. Front Derailleur: Shimano Deore M590 (Top Pull). Rear Derailleur: Shimano Deore M593. Cassette: Shimano HG62 11/34. Hubs: Hope (models unknown) front and back. Rims: Unknown as were de-badged (would imagine that they were at least half decent to go to the effort of mating them to Hope hubs). Front Tyre: Maxxis Minion DHF 26×2.5 (60-70% tread left). Rear Tyre: Maxxis Minion DHR II 26×2.4 (40-50% tread left). Other: Bike has a Lizard Skins chainstay protector and a Rockguardz frame protector on the downtube. This would be a fantastic basis for a superlight, vintage-style single speed or just a swanky around town cruiser. This frame is a lightly used shop display/demo. It may have light dust or scratches from storage, but essentially looks perfect. This frame is built to the following component standards: 26″ wheels, optimal tire width 2.1″-2.3″, 1 1/8″ head tube, 27.2 mm seatpost, 135 mm rear spacing. It was designed for a rigid fork around 430 mm build height but would ride well with 80-100 mm suspension forks as well. For lovers of the Klein linear color fades you know how rare and special the gator fade is. This bike had two owners before I picked it up. It was a showroom bike for years and was ridden by its first owner for two years before being picked up by its last owner, who kept it indoors for two decades and rode it very occasionally. The paint on the bike is in great condition. There isn’t the expected amount of fading on the frame. The frame paint is still very fluorescent and eye popping. There are no major dents anywhere on this frame. There is a bite that was taken out by the crank at some point on the drive side just behind the bottom bracket (visible in the pictures). There are a few other chips on the drive side chain-stay, on the down tube, drop out and seat tube. There are numerous minute but insignificant scratches elsewhere on the frame. The internal cable housing is very old and brittle and has broken away in a couple places. Frame measurements from center to center are as follows: head tube to seat tube – 21″, head tube – 3″, bb to dropout – 17. With this frame I will include the original bottom bracket on it, which is in great shape. Klein used a number of proprietary parts and the bottom bracket was one of them, so it can be very difficult to find a replacement. Please message me with any questions you might have.
