I bought this frame new in 2012. I rode it occasionally, but no longer ride it – switched to an ebike cuz I’m old. I replaced the original shock with a Fox CTD, but only rode it a few times afterward. I mostly rode a hardtail that was 2-3 pounds lighter. According to Strava, I only rode the bike 115 miles. The complete bike weighed a hair over 25 pounds. The frame with shock weighs just under 6 pounds. The wheelbase was under 44 inches, with a 17.5 seat tube, a 100 mm head tube, a 73 mm English thread bottom bracket and a 30.9 mm seatpost. Chainstay length is 445mm/17.5. The pivot bearings are ball bearings and have no play. The paint on the right side of the rear triangle is worn from shoe rub. There are some dark stains that look like adhesive to tree sap and I can’t remember how they got there. I tried Goo Gone, but could not get them off. There are two water bottle mounting spots, one on top of the down tube, which I never used because I don’t think there is room for a water bottle, and one on the bottom of the down tube, just above the bottom bracket. I mounted a bottle cage there, but the bottle got filthy in a hurry, so I mostly used a Camelbak. The riv-nuts on the bottom are loose and would need tightened or replaced, but I don’t know what is involved. This frame is for 29 inch wheels, not 27.5 wheels. I’m about 6 feet tall and I used a 400 mm seatpost. The frame is suitable for anyone over about 5′-6 or so, up to a little over 6 foot.
