Extremely rare Scott Team Issue Scandium XC MTB Frame. Weighs only 1050g on my wife’s kitchen scales, one of the lightest frames made at the time. This is a high quality scandium alloy frame, not to be confused with some of the poor quality low scandium content frames. No disc mounts, for V-brakes only. Old school hardtail cross country frame for 26 wheels. Owned from new by me, from the early 2000s, had very little dry weather use before being dry stored. Was built up as a lightweight flat bar gravel bike (before the term had been coined) to complement my Gary Fisher that I used for XC riding. In extremely good condition for a frame that has been ridden. There are some marks, which I’ve tried to show in the photos, but it still looks really nice. Dimensions: 54cm c-c top tube 38cm c-t seat tube 43cm c-c seat tube. I’m 5’10 and like a small frame with a good amount of seatpost. My wife is 5’4 and can ride my mountain bikes (with a lower saddle). I don’t think anyone taller than 5’10″ would be able to ride this comfortably, but between 5’4″ and 5’10 certainly could.
It is in very nice condition and fully functional with no dents or cracks. The Fox Float R shock is in full working order with no leaks and the seals are fine. The shock holds air and the adjusters are working perfectly. The frame has a few chips to the paint which have been touched up with a high quality paint pen but it is still in very good condition. The bottom bracket threads are mint as is the rear mech hanger thread. It comes with a partial headset (cups and sealed bearings). All the pivots are tight with no play and the action is smooth with no creaks or notches. All bolts and threads throughout are fine. 17 inches from centre of bottom bracket to top of seat tube. 21 inches from centre of seat tube to centre of headtube. Straight 1.5 fork steerer. 68mm bottom bracket shell width. 27.2mm seatpost diameter. It comes with cable and hose guide inserts. It is a lovely quality frame. I have the original Headshok Super Fatty forks that were fitted to it listed separately. Please have a good look at the photos before purchasing and check out my other retro bicycle components listed.
Orange 324 factory racing downhill mountain bike frame – Norlando Grey (Original factory paint). Large – 27.5 boost wheel. Fox factory DHX2 coil shock with SLS spring – Serviced by Slick & Slide not long before bike dismantled. Includes SRAM GXP BB – Hope zero stack headset & seat collar – Chain guide & bash guard. One timid, middle-aged rider from new, only been used a handful of times, and to be honest, nowhere near to being used as intended (no black runs for me) more trail centres and tamer bike park runs. Invisframed from new, barely a mark on it, anything that can be seen is generally dirt around edges of, and marks on invisframe from things like zip ties etc… If removed/replaced paintwork would look as new. Never crashed, Absolutely no dents, dings, cracks or structural defects. Shock works perfectly, all controls work as should, no leaks. Bearings good, smooth and with no play. Being meticulously maintained and barely ridden will do that! Photo’s don’t do it justice as probably should have cleaned it first! I’m not really a downhiller these days, hence parting bike out (Bought brand new on a whim) I had kept hold of the frame as it is a lovely ride and thought about maybe trying a mullet conversion based around a 180mm single crown and 29 front wheel, but I’ve too many bikes and it really should stay as a DH race bike….. It’s sooo fast and belongs in the hands of a racer! Any questions please ask. Item will be well packaged and dispatched via a tracked an insured service.

A lovely retro Trek 8000 SLR Alpha Superlight Race custom butted/seamless drawn aluminium frameset (Hand built in the USA) in very nice metallic silver/blue/black/white/red. There are some chips/scratches/rub marks/sticker damage/paint damage/oxidisation on the paintwork but there are no cracks or dents in the frame (See photos). There is a small amount of surface rust on the bottle cage bolt holes (See photos). All this is purely cosmetic and nothing to worry about. Comes complete with a sealed cartridge bottom bracket which moves smoothly & freely, aluminium allen key quick release seat post clamp, Aheadset SAS/STS headset, colouring matching polished aluminium removable rear dropout and brand new stainless steel bottle cage bolts (See photos). The frameset has been thoroughly washed and GT85′d (I did not strip and clean the headset as it seems well greased). The frame will be carefully wrapped before being posted. In relation to the marks/scratches/chips/sticker damage/paint damage on the frame paintwork, I was tempted to work on these but didn’t as I wanted the bike to be as original as possible. Tom Ritchey Ultra Frame & Forks. Extremely rare hand built Tom Ritchey mountain bike specific frame. Built in 1988 and was dressed in 1989 Shimano Deore XT. 17 inches from centre BB to top of seat tube, 21 inches top tube length and 1inch head tube. Prestige steel frame tubing and Shimano dropouts. Finished in the optional metallic silver Dupont paint work. Optional extras at the time include mudguard and rack mounts. Genuine frame stamp under BB shell, 15th Ultra made in 1988. Forks are Rockshox Quadra (1st Version) with 1 inch threaded steerer. Barn find and imported from the USA, hand built Tom Ritchey Ultra frame, with good overall condition for restoration. Previous owner sprayed green rattle can paint over the original Dupont high gloss silver finish, which flakes off very easily. Seems there was no preparation to the original colour before spraying, Some of the original Ritchey decals glue is also still visible. There is little in the way of corrosion, a credit to the quality of the build and original paintwork. Some very minor and tiny shallow dents to the side of the top tube and chain suck to rear stay. Tom Ritchey frames in the 1980′s only used Shimano dropouts as it was not until the early 1990′s that Ritchey produced their own. The Ritchey Ultra was the top of the range model of the 1980′s, made of Prestige tubing rather than the standard steel used in the Ascent models. Please check the image of the original 1988 Ritchey catalogue showing the full spec. This particular Tom Ritchey built frame had all option extra’s added for the customer at the frame building stage, including mudguard and rack mounts, plus the metallic silver paint finish. The standard Ultra frame had none of these options and only came in either black or white finish. This Ritchey Ultra frame is truly a unique frame. Completing the frameset this particular Tom Ritchey Ultra was fitted with the 1st version of the RockShox Quadra suspension forks. Surprisingly the forks work great but have also had black rattle can sprayed over the original gloss silver paintwork that can be seen in the images. There is still glue from the original RockShox Quadra decals showing through the black paint, which also flakes away easily from the stanchions. Therefore this hand built Tom Ritchey frame is a very rare find, with that in mind we welcome any sensible offers or part exchanges, please contact with details. Tom Ritchey frames in the 1980′s only used Shimano dropouts as it was not until the early 1990′s did Ritchey produce their own.
