2014 Trek Fuel EX 8 29 Full-Suspension Frame 19.5 Large Rockshox Monarch RT3

For sale used Trek Fuel EX 8 29 2014 frame, in size Large (19.5). Frame has been modified, front derailleur mount and ISCG tabs have been removed, frame got a complete overhaul in spring, which included all new bearings and a “raw” paint job (old paint removed with glass bead blasting for a matte raw aluminium finish and then covered in a see-through paint/lacquer). The seat stays have a hole drilled in them for routing rear brake hose through the frame. There is also a dent on the down tube near the bottom bracket, but this has been there as long as I have owned the frame and would not think much of it. The paint condition is not completely perfect and has some visible use marks, but I would still rate the frame and paint condition an 8.5/10. Frame weight with rear shock should be around the 3kg mark. Feel free to ask any questions. Size Large (19.5), 29er wheels. 120mm of rear wheel travel. Press-fit bottom bracket (BB). 31.6mm seatpost, easily fits long dropper posts (Crankbrothers Highline in 160mm travel option fitted easily). 142×12 Thru-axle rear wheel. Front derailleur cannot be mounted, so 1x drivetrain only. Rockshox Monarch RT3 184x48mm Rear Shock. Headset bearings (in good condition). Trek original quick-release thru-axle. Spare derailleur hanger (slightly bent, but will work as a quick replacement, would not use for too long). Rarely used Fact 11m Carbon Specialized Enduro S-Works 29 2015 size large in immaculate refurbished condition. As you can see in photos there are barely any marks on the frame, this is because it was covered with shack wrap full frame Heli tape kit and I’ve removed it when I stopped riding the bike. The bearings were changed in june 2018. Before putting the frame on sale I have completely dismantled the frame, inspected, degreased and packed all the bearings with new grease. All bolts were checked with using torque wrench. Rear axle is 142x12mm. Rear wheel travel 165mm. Rockshox Monarch RC3+ debonair TF tuned with offset eyelet bushings to slacken the geometry. The shock is in excellent condition and goes through its travel freely. There are some small marks on the stickers off the drive side of the shock. A brand new unopened set of air can seals is included. The rear shock was last serviced by TF tuned in august 2017. Since then the shock had around 20 hours of usage. Specialized command post IR 125mm travel, no marks on stanchions. In excellent condition, goes trough its travel easily. Last inspected and serviced in June, 2018. Headset: Hope pick and mix 1.1/8″, 1.5″ headset. Bearings move freely with no sound. A brand new unopened pack of rear shock air can seals. Frame and linkage manuals included. Collection in person is welcome. In such case please pay in cash on collection. All questions will be answered. I have owned this from new, bought in 2011 and built it up with a 160mm fork. See my other items for other bits from this bike. I have stripped this down and checked all the links and everything is running smooth. I have also got 4 brand new Enduro bearings to include with the sale so you can change the link bearings if you want. And there is a spare mech hanger too. I have had helitape on it from new as you can see on the photos. There is mud under some of it that probably makes it look worse! It is a size medium, has 150mm rear travel, has a Rockshox monarch RT3 shock which has been serviced by TF tuned a while ago, but not used it much since then. I have left the Cane Creek headset in but removed the lower bearing as I have had it running with a fork that had an integral crown race so the bearing is specific to that fork. As it is 7 years old it has lots of scuffs and marks, as expected with a well used mountain bike. But it has no cracks or dents. I have tried to show as much as possible with the photos so please check them out carefully. Cash on collection from Ashby de la Zouch, Derby, or Coventry area preferred!
