This listing is for Sealed Cartridge Bearings Kits for Trek Mountain Bikes Full Suspension Frame Pivots. The main picture of bearings is only a stock picture & doesn’t indicate what bearings you receive in a kit! Frame Bearings & Tools must be ordered separately, they do not come together! The picture of the bearing tools is only a generic picture. It does not show exactly what you get in the kit. I have tailored each bearing tool kit specifically for the models listed & the kit contains all the presses & extractors you need along with the handles to professionally remove & install your frame bearings. For further information about the tools please see the link below. Please Note: Some of the bearings, on some models (Main Pivot/Seat Tube Pivot) will require removal using a bearing drift as a standard extractor will not work due to the configuration of the bearings. I do not supply any drifts with my kits! Please investigate this prior to purchasing kits. For Bearing Extraction & Installation Tools see my listing below. If you would like to follow a generic tutorial of How To Fit Pivot Bearings visit my website at the link below. Visit my YouTube Channel at the link below for my’How To’ videos. The tools also come with a printed instruction sheet on how to use them. Most of the Trek Models are factory fitted with Full Compliment Bearings (2013 Onwards) especially the longer travel models. They do this for a reason, they are capable of withstanding much higher loads & abuse! Fuel EX 9.8 & Lower (2017 – 2019): EX 9.8, 9.7, 9,8,7 & 5 Inc all 29′er, 27.5 & Women’s. Fuel EX (2016): EX 9.9, 9.8, 9 & 8. Hardened Chromium Steel balls in a steel cage with a generous grease fill. These are a budget option which we would only advise fitting on older models. Looked after with regular greasing & avoid pressure washers & solvent cleaners they will last well in normal off road riding conditions. MAX Full Compliment (ABEC 3). These are capable of withstanding much higher loadings than the standard caged roller bearings above. Compared to bearings with cages, full compliment bearings have an increased load capacity of around 40% or more. This type of bearing is highly suited to suspension pivots on mountain bikes, where there is a higher load and a lower rotation rate. The whole point of MAX Full compliment bearings is that more balls allow for greater strength in lower rotation, high load applications. Most top end bikes come with these fitted as standard & are designed for hard riding. We do a daily postal drop Mon-Fri. Goods ordered after 2pm will be posted the following day. Goods ordered after 2pm Friday will not be posted until the following Monday. If you are ordering from outside the UK we will. Prices will be given when you add an item to your basket. Please Note : These kits contain the Pivot Bearings Only. They do not contain any washers or other hardware. If you look after your frame pivots & replace the bearings regularly you shouldn’t need to replace your other washers & hardware. Keep everything well greased, avoid pressure washing at all costs & avoid using solvent based sprays & lubricants around your bearings, as these dissolve the grease in the bearings! Also included with your bearings kit is a comprehensive, photographic list of instructions & guide to the type of tools you need to carry out this procedure. Tell us your model & what bearings you want & we’ll make a kit up specially for you. Alternatively we can professionally fit these in your frame for you if you’re local to SK13 (Glossop), please enquire. We have been trial running these same bearings in our own frames & wheels in order to keep consistent checks over quality control. We strongly recommend that you have these bearings professionally fitted into your frame with the correct tools. At Q Bikes Ltd we specialize in High End Cycle servicing, componentry & suspension systems. We also provide a bespoke bike building service should you require. Please ask if you have any questions.
