Mountain Bike Frame

I had this bike built up to replace another Enigma that was stolen. Bought new in 2017 and barely used. A change in work patterns meant that I’ve been kept very busy all summer since then and, combined with a growing family, I found myself unable to ride. It’s been run on a turbo to fine tune the fit, and has gone for a. The bike was built to be a super smooth ride: the Echo’s titanium frame has been described as riding like a magic carpet. And the slack geometry with long carbon seatpost, tubeless wheels, and wide tyres all add to the smoothness. This makes for a bike on which you will eat up the miles in comfort. Condition The bike was built from all new components (except saddle) and is almost new. It has a suffered some very minor scuffs: to one crank, to the rear mech, and a tiny scuff to the chainstay (minor chainslap). The bike was built up in 2017; I think the tyres grip is still ok, but the rubber may need slightly roughing up to grip fully. The saddle is old. Spec Frame: Enigma Echo. Standard geometry, but custom made in a half size 54 (normal sizes were 53 and 55). Would fit a rider of 5’6″ – 5’10″, depending on your built. You can get an idea of the frame dimensions by splitting the difference between the 53 and 55 here. The frame is one of Enigma’s UK built ones, made of 3AL 2.5V titanium, and built for a standard headset and English bottom bracket. This frame is unusual in that it was built in the UK in 2016 (when most Echo frames were, I think, being made in Taiwan), to slightly earlier specs (same geometry but slightly broader diameter for some tubes, and integrated headsets). The welds are things of beauty, as one would expect from a Ti Enigma. Full Shimano 105 5800 groupset. 11 speed, 50×34 crankset, 172.5mm cranks, 11-28 cassette. Columbus Minimal full carbon forks 1 1/8 steerer (cut long, see the spacers in the pictures). FSA Omega Compact bars, 44cm, with Fizik bar gel and tape. FSA Omega stem, 100mm. FSA Orbit MX headset, 1 1/8. Fizik bar gel and tape. Wheelset Superstar Components Arc 22 wide rims on Volta hubs, Sapim CX-Ray. 20 spoke front, 24 spoke rear. Set up tubeless for a really plush ride. Tifosi Carbon Seat post 27.2mm. Hutchinson Sector 28 tubeless tyres – wide, for a smooth ride. Anodised red ti/carbon quick releases. Anodised red aluminium bottle cages. Saddle Planet X, model unknown. Build weight is 8.2kg with pedals. Look Keo Blade 2 carbon pedals. You are welcome to view the bike, but no test riding unless you leave proof of ID and a cash deposit with me and bring your own shoes (and pedals if not Look cleated). Added to clarify ambiguity in the original description: this frame has a slim down tube and non-integrated headset – the spec of the original design of Echo, from before production was moved to Taiwan. The spec of the Echos built in the same period in Taiwan not this bike! Was for broader down tube and integrated headset. Edit: Wheel size is 700c, not 26.
