Salsa Ala Carte 2008 Mountain Bike Frame. True Temper OX Platinum Cromoly Steel Tubing. Probably the best example of one of these you’ll find. This was someone’s dream build, deservedly specced up with top notch kit but then not ridden more than a handful of times. Hardly any marks or scratches. I have tried to capture any defects in the photos. Size Large – see screen grab from archived Salsa website for geometry. When googling this I have see someone manage to squeeze on 650b wheels. Not sure if this is realistic but worth investigating further. I considered making this a gravel bike build but it’s too valuable to me in this condition and I’d likely scratch it! 1990 mk1 Offroad Proflex frame 18 built by SEROTTA. True Temper USA (retro)

This listing is for a mk1 1990 Offroad Proflex frame. One of only 100 built, by Serotta. True Temper USA steel tubing. Measurements: Frame size: 18″ CTC (19.25 CTT) Top tube: 22.25″ CTC Seatpost: 26.8mm The rear suspension has been rebuilt, so it is back to catalogue standard. It has a new alloy tube (that the elastomer rides on) of the same dimensions as the original. It also has a new replacement elastomer of the same colour, length and outer diameter as the original. The only difference is that the hole in the elastomer measures 12mm rather than 9mm, so just 1.5mm smaller all the way around. There has been a minor brazed hole repairs to the rear of the seat tube – it has been done well and is structurally sound. One of the frame brake bosses is a little wobbly. It doesn’t spin and has probably been like it for most of it’s life. No dents, but plenty of scrapes here and there. This is an excellent opportunity to own one of the first full suspension’mountain bikes’ in history, and it would make a great project for someone. Any questions just let me know. This is a vintage fat chance wicked frame, fork headset, bottom bracket, seat collar, bar & stem. It shows moderate signs of wear with paint chips and nicks. Here are the frame measurements which are taken by me and there will be a small margin of error because of this. Head Tube – 9cm or just over 3-1/2. Top Tube – 21.5cm c-c measured along the top Tube.
